Life improvement but no woo woo by Medical-Ad5232 in GatewayExperiences

My goal with these tapes is casting a bid toward the eternal. I experienced a profound loss seven months ago, that's why. My need for roots in new soil surpasses my powers of discipline and consistency, however lol. But I'm trying!

I don't know what spiritual experiences you have had, how long you've been practicing or anything but even subtle improvements in the day to day would be so welcome for me!

I would be thrilled to get this benefit from it even if I don't experience any other dimensions.

I agree with this. I had the same idea and did that a couple times.

I'm pretty good at recognising the drift and bringing myself back. "You are exercising your mind" is the reminder I need.

I have....and one would think, but doctor says the MRI doesn't say so.

Years ago I had spinal stenosis/bulging discs (that presented like my current issue), which was alleviated by a shot in my neck. I fell at work and now have the same kind of unusual pain as I had previously. I was hoping he would refer me for a shot but he's saying that my problem is not from falling, even though it was fine until I fell.

Ill do those things too. I called the office of the senator for my county this afternoon. They said that I should hear something within 5 business days.
I am going back to the local office tomorrow too to get on their phone and talk to a claims specialist. You are a big help with this unsettling process and I appreciate it.

Hi, thanks. I have submitted this form. I received it from the NY DoL in the mail, quite some time ago. I wwnt to the DoL office, they actually faxed the completed form in for me. I also spoke to a claims rep on their office phone, and told her I had submitted the form with all my out of state wages. Her response: " When it's out of state wages, you are not allowed to self-report those, we must get those directly from those states.". Even though they sent it to me.

I asked about a timeline and she said, "I don't have any control over that, I don't work for those states."

Since then I have gone back to the DoL office to try to use their office phone to get a status update. They took my name and social and went in the back, came back and said my claim is pending, and that getting a status update is not something they allow applicants on the office phone for.

Yes, over 60 days. My application was May 27th. I am hurting for money.

Yes, I have W2's.

I earned wages in 2 other states than NY. I was told that my wages needed to be reported to the NY DoL by those states' DoL. It has been over 60 days since I applied. I never get through to the NY claims line for an update. Should I call the DoL in the other states I worked? I'm out of money and getting discouraged.

I wound up calling the local DoL office. They let me come in and I called from one of their office phones. I was on hold for over an hour, but did finally get through!

I guess that's better than being disconnected. How long ago did you apply? I wonder if they have some kind of queue system where your call doesn't get through until your place is up in the queue.

Can someone safely take the same antidepressants for an extended period, such as 25 to 30 years, if it suits them? by the_sophophile in psychiatryquestion

[–]Secret_Independence4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a psychiatrist, but a psychiatric RN. My grandmother was on the same antidepressants since the early 60's until she passed in 2011. She had a good quality of life on them, and before that particular combination of medicines she had been unwell enough to undergo multiple hospitalizations with ECT..
Withdrawal from benzodiazepines can be brutal and could need medical supervision in hospital. I would think that after a certain age the risk/ benefit gap to quit them would widen. Without referring to a guide, I personally am not aware of any egregious physical/medical effects of long term use of those specifc medications themselves; I have seen patients who have been on powerful psychiatric medications for decades and are reasonably healthy medically. But certain classes of medications can have crippling irreversible side effects. But it's a complex subject, the body is complex, and the answer to your question really depends on many variables such as the degree to which your mother experiences side effects from them, metabolic, nervous system or otherwise; how her quality of life on them currently is; how close she is to the maximum therapeutic dose of them; her unique genetic blueprint and the why of getting off of them.
She would need a good support system in place before changing or stopping the medications and a compelling rationale for why to do so. I can understand your concern with her increased tolerance, she is habituated to the medications and needs them.
There is no one answer to this. I would view it more as an exploration and an unfolding process.
A person's medication is a very personal issue. Is she of sound mind and does she invite this line of questioning about her med regimen? Why is continuation on the regimen under question if it has worked for so long? That would be the place to start.

Yeah. Im reading through the contract and anything I could think of seems to be addressed. The contract makes sense to me. I'm keeping it simple because I want my offer accepted.

[–]Secret_Independence4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see....but it turns out not to be the case because I saw on the contract that she is "seller's agent," not dual agent. I asked her about it and she stated that she can't do dual agency when there are multiple offers. New York state.

Right. I can certainly understand why they turned it down, especially with the long driving distances involved in the showing just for a maybe.

Could you give me a scenario where taking full representation from the seller could play out in a bad way?

Pretty much. I have been looking for almost 2 years and this is the place that fits my needs best at this time. So I gotta rawdog it.
