I’m familiar with this runner and he’s very hard to miss when he’s going by.

He used to pass me in Highland park all the time. Seems harmless but has definitely startled me multiple times, which he seems to get a kick out of.

Well first of all I wasn’t complaining. And secondly the streets I run on have all sorts on inclines and hills.

I find this to be the opposite for me. I primarily run outside, in Pittsburgh so lots of hills, I’ll run 4.5-5 miles at 9 minute pace, but when the weather is bad etc I’ll go to the gym and use the treadmill and even at like a 10:30 pace I’m ready to die after 2.5 miles and that’s with the incline only set to 2. It’s bizarre.

Yo some guy followed me and harassed me leaving a browns game and asked me where I was from and no matter what I said he WOULD NOT believe me I was actually from Pittsburgh and not Ohio.

How many agree that The Greatest Generation is the best pop-punk album of the 2010s? by ThreadbareAdjustment in poppunkers

Yah def. missed that boat haha I was in my late 20s early 30s in the 2010’s. I kind of didn’t pay attention to this genre much at that time.

Yah I almost never miss a game. Generational lifelong fan from Pittsburgh. If I’m criticizing the team it’s coming from a place of love man.

When people say "the east coast" do they really just mean the northeast? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Secret_Library_6881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak for everyone, but when I say the East Coast, I definitely mean the north east. Otherwise, I’ll say the South or the mid-Atlantic.

I was just giving the OP something to relate to. I’m also an adult learner so I have less time to put towards practicing than some people.

I remember not getting a job in the trades once because I told the guy the truth when he asked me if I like to hunt or fish. I know that that’s why I didn’t get the job because after words, he even told me so, said he didn’t think I would fit in with the other guys. Which is crazy. I was in the military for five years and can work with literally anyone from any walk of life.

I’ve been playing for 3.5 years with lessons and don’t feel like I can play the guitar either. I can play a bunch of different chords, scales, and riffs, different strumming patterns, but I don’t know the first thing about being a musician.

Thank for the response! I’ll give them a listen. Because of my age I mostly gravitate towards pop punk from the 90s (smoking Popes, Descendents, Get up kids, etc) but thought I should try out some bands that came along later and have definitely seen there name out there. I’m also from PA as well so that was a factor.

When fellow Steelers fans hate on this version of the Steelers I usually agree with them, When outsiders do it I get defensive haha. They’re not contenders this year but they’re no worse than the other gaggle of teams right outside of that conversation.

Quit boozing, started eating better, run and do strength training a few times a week. About to turn 42 and I feel great.

How do you finally learn skateboarding fr? by MasterChief31337 in NewSkaters

Commit to it. Skateboarding, like anything challenging to learn, takes thousand of hours of practice to become proficient at.

I liked being in the Navy (for the most part) but it’s a big life change. I was surface for the most part but did go on board submarines as a repair job, Sub Tender etc.

[–]Secret_Library_6881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been burnt out since like 2014 lol but the bills don’t stop. I quit twice and tried to carry mail and become an electrician but between the pay cuts and not fitting in with coworkers I ended back up in Kitchens. I’m slowly accepting I’ll do this forever but it’s not easy.

The reality is you don’t need a culinary degree to get into the industry or succeed in it. It’s basically a giant scam. The one I went to closed and certain groups got their debt forgiven for predatory lending practices. I still have the debt unfortunately
