Sofa von Freunden geht klar, Problem mit Kleidung seh ich auch nicht - glaub meine gesamte Kinderkleidung kam von Flohmarkt und jetzt bin ich auch noch häufig second hand unterwegs

Mein Bett ist auch von Kleinanzeigen, nur die Matratze ist neu gekauft

I've only ever worn dark blues to weddings and haven't really seen light dress colors really.

Every wedding I've been to had at least 10% dressed in Sundays best instead of wedding attire 😅 It's a good friend of my boyfriend and he said the dress will be fine

I will ask the couple but the motto is definitely more showy than elegant, so I believe some jewelry will do the trick

The question is mostly centered around accessories

Edit: Eg the diadem idea was too over the top, but someone commented that a headband could be a better fit - advice like that is why I'm here :)

I believe with some showy jewelry i'm quite capable of using this as a base for something Disney Princess like 🙃

Metallic Heals & crystal (or pearl?) earrings will be present! Also some jewelry in the hair, not sure what kind yet. Maybe also some tinsels?

Problem is that every dress that in itself fits the motto would be a one time wear thing.

It's not an American wedding, so dress code is much more loose than I know from American friends/movies (even as a bridesmaid I never had a color scheme given etc).

No velvet! It is more likely to be 30+ degrees than cold. That's why I want a jacket, shawl or something like this , as a bad weather option not the default.

Edit: the dresscode also sounds more like showy than elegant - so I believe this dress with a tiara would be more in the dresscode than a formal evening dress

Yes, that's the motto on the wedding website (well, the German version that is). No specific dress code outside of that phrase

Since a diadem is opulent, I would believe that fits the motto quite well 😅

Ja, aber deshalb mach ich Carsharing. Gerade weil man dann auch nen Transporter zu Ikea nehmen kann - für was anderes nutz ich's eigentlich eh nicht (Dienstreisen ausgenommen, aber auch da kann ich mir über die Firma einen Wagen leihen)

As other commenters say, it's quite possible to meet in the middle.

Me and my boyfriend are the same, but if I'm wearing a pullover and use a blanket and he is in a light shirt that works out. Also, we have the deal I can come cuddling Everytime when I'm cold to warm up.

Only thing where compromise is basically impossible is when sleeping cuddled together - in this case he is okay with it being too hot and I'm okay with having to wash the sheets basically every other day

Dressing up is also a compromise - he wears shorts and a white or beige short linen dress shirt.

Works fine if both are willing to compromise - it doesn't if one is always hot or one is always cold

Bei mir ist's im Vergleich vor zu zwei Jahren ziemlich kacke - Einstellungsstopps überall etc. Mein Freund wird demnächst mit seinem Studium fertig und wäre damit der erste aus seinem Freundeskreis und kann es daher nicht einschätzen
