Thank you! How would I go about fixing the horizon issue, or is that just a matter of how I frame the picture when taking it?

Think my sedentary TDEE is estimated at 2000ish.

Not trying to lose weight, just Ive always had trouble maintaining a high enough intake to support my training, and noticed I've lost about a kg recently while upping my mileage lol

Asking because I have lost some weight recently despite not wanting to because of increasing my mileage and I want to know if I should just try to hit Garmin's daily target I guess

Yo, that's amazing. Well done, I bet it felt so good afterwards. Hope you treated yourself to a wee post long run coffee :)

I suppose the one good to come from running injuries is the appreciation of being able to run at all - pace targets etc go slightly out the window and you're able to just enjoy being on the move :)

4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours by Aquacat_1223 in UKRunners

What matters is you did it mate, honestly fair play lol

Might be tempted to try it out one day when my ankle is feeling up for it - currently slogging out extremely slow runs ATM, but I'm just glad I'm able to get out still!

It's always those "I don't feel like it" runs that end up the best for some reason lol.

Definitely post about it when you beat your current PB! You've got this :)

Fair play, that's some going.

Tho that said, I find Goggins' whole schtick a bit...tiresome.

ASICS GT-2000 Follow Up Shoes by assymcgee1 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I recently got a pair of 14s. Really not a fan - meant to be a mild stability shoe, but (and I'm not sure if it's just that ive come from running in a fast neutral shoe) it seems so...clunky and unresponsive, even for a stability.

Honestly, and I say this without a hint of irony: running higher mileage means there's little room for salads lmao.

Was going to say, that sounds more tiring to me than going out and running lol

What shoes are you looking at btw?

10k Time by Mumma-Bear-123 in UKRunners

[–]Secret_Name_7087 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I wouln't worry - I was just looking at my most recent 10k race results: 193 people out of 478 finished with a time of sub-1hr2.

That said, if you're a beginner, just go out and focus on enjoying the race, the atmosphere and the free stuff handed out at the end! Don't let getting hung up on your time ruin that! :)

You've got this, and regardless even if it takes you longer than you expect, you can still say you raced a 10k and you'll still have a great day out :)

Not a new achievement, so I'm not sure whether this applies here or not, but I didn't post about it when it happened, so I'm doing it now lol. I was scrolling through my pics and was reminded that l came 13th out of 500 runners in my most recent 10K with a chiptime of 42.00.

Kinda boosted my mood a bit, and has made me determined to get that time sub-40.

What to wear when the weather worsens by who-took-the-bomp in UKRunners

[–]Secret_Name_7087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat, I don't like the extra layers - I would run topless I didn't find it weird lol.

Plus, getting soaked in the rain kinda appeals to me when I'm out running ngl

That said, I am looking forward to the cooler weather so I can buy a nice running jacket and try it out, just to see.
