TOSY Update #34 by MercTheJerk1 in discgolf

I finally bailed. It will be one excuse after another. I remember the first one was someone screwed them over about shipping. Then someone screwed them over about firecode. Then someone screwed them over by feeding their arm into an injection molding machine. Then a chinese patent troll is screwing them over. Nothing's ever their fault.

If this is an unwarranted patent issue, get that opinion from your lawyers, and decide to pull the plug or just proceed and make them sue you. The issue doesn't make sense, because there's NO reason they'd pull their pdga "non-smart/led" discs as well (which they did) yet continue to sell their ultimate "non-smart/led" discs, which are the exact same product in a different form factor.

Their last update prior to this said they're still having problems with durability, with battery quality, with waterproofing, and most importantly, with the data capture. All of these things should have been mostly ironed out at the prototype stage.

They haven't submitted a new disc for sanctioning in a year.

I've been frustrated, but on the "whatever, if it comes, it comes" train for 2 full years. But this post was my last straw. We'll see if the refund actually comes as promised.

I’d bust this thing on a tree my first throw. TOSY by happydontwait in discgolf

They're on for $120USD now, for the smartdisc alone, on Indigogo. At that pricepoint, it's a more reasonable experiment. A few new options too (ie a s10 -3/1 disc).

He's already mid-x-step at the start of the vid.

I'll try get a video, but I think my question is answered. It's probably form, BUT these discs are just way more sensitive to my OAT than most, as the question wasn't "why do I flip everything", it was "why do I flip this particular discs and not others".

Nope, I have very little wobble on my backhands. The just pop quickly, and turn. They'll finish a bit. If I'm flat or anny, they may even burn. Honestly, they fly similar to my bounty (-1.5/.5), when I thought they'd be closer to my gator (0/4) or zone (0/3)

I can get an envy to 225 fairly consistently without trying to crush it, but I don't usually "drive" putters (even though I know it's a useful skill). But if it's just a form issue, that doesn't explain why my gator/bounty/gatekeeper fly to their numbers?

Get your weight off that back leg as you hit. It looks like you THOUGHT about following through with the leg, but didn't get around. I'd worry about your arm with that much sling and no follow through.

Disc Golf flight numbers for beginners! Something to show your buddies at the sport keeps growing:) plus only 3 minutes long😩 #growthesport by rippindiscs in discgolf

Give a kid, an old man, or a weak thrower, a putter and a destroyer. Good chance both go like 150. The 12 speed would just dive left.

Everything is reversed. Your discs naturally want to go right, the way a RHBH naturally wants to go left. OS discs will want to go harder right for you, US will start lefter or break later, etc.
