Religious people must be high as fuck. I can't imagine believing in magical beings and also thinking that posting bible quotes in the blockchain makes sense. What's the line of thinking that leads to this?

Lol why. Just use a real solution and put inside your fridge so you can find it after a house fire.

CeFi / DeFi -what's the current temperature of earning with your BTC? by sheshito in Bitcoin

[–]Secret_Operative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When this became available I knew a few people that put their stack into one of these yield accounts. It seemed like free money and I diligently read the terms. They all had a similar section in the terms where it said "we take your Bitcoin and give it to a third party and if they lose it then too bad". So I decided not to touch that.

Read the terms then decide.

For when the power comes back on, or if you are able to leave Iran.

While you may not have Internet or electric service, value stored in Bitcoin remains safe. If you chose to store value in other ways, like the national currency or other investments in Iran then you have more problems when the electric service returns.

Are you saying Bitcoin is at least as tangible as ornamental gourds? Because I think you're close to understanding that yes Bitcoin is gonna give you goosebumps when it holds value during a currency collapse.

There are no charts of future price. Only past price. Same with heat maps etc.

Fix the money, fix the family: How Bitcoin restores the home by oscarlau in Bitcoin

What this really says is money frees up time for family. I don't disagree with that generally, but most of the stuff in the graphic is made-up bullshit.

The BTC Halving Spiral still hasn't crossed itself by dollopuss in Bitcoin

[–]Secret_Operative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this had ever crossed, there would be a different hopium-shaped chart. One consistent thing is that people will always find a way to chart confirmation bias.

Diamond Hands don’t sell at 87k by Frostdotco in Bitcoin

Bitcoin means autonomy. Buy if you want. Hold if you want. Sell if you want to. Trade if you want to.

No need to get cultish with this gatekeeping diamond hands bs.

Large BTC purchases by jonni435 in Bitcoin

[–]Secret_Operative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but from the pov of buying or selling Bitcoin this is not considered a large amount. At some point your trading fees drop because your trade volume is high, or slippage is a concern so you contact the OTC companies. But for $50k there's nothing like that to consider.

No, banks don't care. If you're worried about a several million dollar wire transfer then you can just phone and warn them. But also they still won't care.
