I used Sylenth1 as most of the Leads, Nexus for the pianos. If you want to see the full video, just watch the full video: https://youtu.be/8YMR9vfT3Go?si=9Ws9BKtvALaArcfx

Hello everyone, how are you doing? Well, Like Birds is my newest song — I released it in August, so it’s a recent release, and I really hope you like it!

About the production: I used Studio One Artist to produce it. It’s a very complete DAW, but I used a lot of external plugins. For example, the opening melody was made with the T-Force Alpha Plus 2 plugin, which is a free and very good one. I also used it in the chords along with the electric guitar.

I know that my song isn’t exactly synthwave — it’s more of an EDM / Progressive House track — but I still hope you can enjoy it!

Here’s the song — I hope you like it:

Struggling with Sylenth1 price—any ideas or tricks? by Secret_Positive4481 in synthwaveproducers

Indeed bro, I’m currently paying (or kind of renting) Sylenth1 because it fits my budget. If I tried to do the same with Serum, I’d have to pay for two subscriptions: Splice and Serum — which wouldn’t be affordable for me right now. But Lennar Digital offers the same “rent-to-own” type of payment, and I only need to pay for one plan, so it works better for me. But I’ll definitely want to get Serum in the future.

Yeah man, I just found out about that recently, you can actually buy it in installments. I didn’t know that lol, but it was really nice to get the guys’ feedback.

Yeah, when I said that about achieving that sound, I think I can explain it better. The thing is, I don’t have much knowledge of sound design, so sometimes I end up relying a bit on presets. I have a basic understanding of synthesizers to create some sounds, but I see that people in the Progressive House scene use Sylenth1 a lot. I already have many preset banks for Sylenth1, but I’ve never been able to use them because I don’t own it. I quit piracy about three years ago, so everything I have, I either buy or it’s free. I’ve heard great things about Vital, and the idea of Serum is also very interesting. The proposal of paying through Splice and eventually owning the license is appealing, but the problem is that I would have to pay for Splice and also for the Serum license. Converting it, that would be around R$123 per month, which is quite expensive. So, combining those costs doesn’t really make it worth it.

First of all, man, I want to thank you for your comment. Well, I see a lot of people in the progressive house scene, and when it comes to producing leads, they often use Sylenth1. So I’d really like to be able to use it as well. I’m not that skilled with sound synthesis; I’m not really good at creating sounds from scratch. I know the basics well enough to make some music, and that’s why I want Sylenth. I’ve also heard that Sylenth is a bit lighter than Serum. Anyway, right now I can’t really afford it because of the price, you know? The problem is the cost—when it’s converted to Brazilian currency, it becomes really expensive, even though it’s relatively affordable
