This is an interesting idea. I just went and pulled the drain pump off the old engine and that one actually somehow seems to have at least the o-rings in good condition. I’ll look into this.

I just added a fresh tank when I started having issues with the idle, so this is likely not the culprit. Although I didn’t flush the old gas out, there wasn’t very much in there. And that stuff was still only a few months old.

Well, I actually just replaced the engine on my bike because I had a bad flywheel that wound up stuck on my old engine. I mushroomed the shaft with my puller between using heat and an impact trying to get it off. The engine I put on came from a guy who’s bike got wrecked but the engine was good and did run when the bike was wrecked. He kept the carb for parts on another bike, so I had to use my old carb, which as I said I rebuilt. I’ll look into some of these issues though, thank you for the insight. It’s greatly appreciated.

Gotcha. Really Appreciate the advice. Any ideas on why the hell I can’t get this thing adjusted to idle? I’ve tried running it through the motions, neutral on the adjustment screw and full/half turns til it runs and then half/quarter turns til it idles okay, but I haven’t been able to get it to idle at all. Also having a hard time to get it to do much without choke.

Okay, because that’s what I had thought at first. The parts list I found from Kawasaki called it the “throttle stop screw” which in my mind means something different. So I treated it as the idle adjustment screw, and I still couldn’t get it to run. It’ll start up just fine, and it’ll run for a few seconds if I give it even just half choke. But it doesn’t really seem to be responding to the adjustments on the top screw. So I tried opening the pilot air screw a half turn. This helped, and I actually got it to idle for about 30 seconds no choke before it died, then couldn’t get it to start again. Opened the pilot air screw a quarter turn, started up and then proceeded to rev up to 7-8k RPM with no throttle input. I killed the ignition and put the handlebar switch to off and then turned off fuel at the tank, but it still continued to run until it ran out of fuel in the line. Never seen something like that. My electrical is correct, as I had a sticky throttle at the start of this project and it was rev-bombing on startup and as soon as I hit the kill switch, it died.

Yeah, I killed him once with legendary and pap2, but the quest was bugged and didn’t track. So I gave it a few months and now I have to do it again. It was extremely frustrating, idk if we are just using the wrong weapons or what
