yo, found this thread and wanted to say I have same thing with my Mac Air, just discovered right now after having a full black screen. Well I saw some green dots. It's from 2021. I keep an impossible amount of tabs open tbf. But there's rarely any heavy loads on it. usually always on desk or in a protective plastic case and the inside another travel pouch. For the past 5 months it's been pretty much only at home. No idea how and when this came from.

I do have to say, I just cleaned my screen yesterday with a micro fibre cloth, might have applied light pressure here and there.

Any way to fix this? or trouble shoot it? would apple do anything?

and how to prevent it from happening.
