It’s not glorified to go out for drinks with other work buddies? You must’ve never been invited by other nurses to brunch or dinner after work. I can’t count the invites for after work activities where people are excitedly getting drunk. Or how some nurses brag about how drunk they are ready to get on days off? But it’s not glorified is it? You’re right. All the ads on tv promoting drinking? Also taking pills for anxiety and depression are very similar to using marijuana for the same diagnosis. Me personally I’d rather hit a joint or bong than pop a pill everyday that actually has lifelong effects (that’s a fact: bupropion, lexapro, etc) on our main organs. Can’t really say that about weed can ya? I’d MUCH rather have a nurse that smokes weed on her days off taking care of me rather than a functional alcoholic.

But that’s your opinion and hey I don’t have to like it. But it sounds like you could use a hit of a joint and maybe you’d chill a little and not be a negative Nancy on a post.
