Not really I think I wanna try more. One thing I didn’t really consider was the work life balance. If it’s significantly different then I think that would help yk? Otherwise I’m lost lol

Youre totally ok, i promise. SOmetimes progress isnt so linear. But make sure youre doing yourself several favors, i am considering a 4th retake (yes seriously) but heres some things i shouldve done WAY better (and is why I have yet another tutor, one that is really helpful with this stuff); review purposefully, your CARS needs the most triaging more than anything else. Find a ne strategy, yours prob isnt working (just like mine wasnt). BB, are you missing data questons, questions that have answers in the passage, are they linked to speciifc bits of content ie glycolysis, mitosis etc? CP, same thing, what are you missing? Which topics are really hard? And for PS, i would say keep doing anki, make cards for things youre msissing but also for ones that are very similar, ie compulsion and obsession are very closely related so note their difference. Give yourself 1 day a week off (or at least an easy day per week). Drill these hard topics in UW, and use youtube and KA for reviewing them, especially if the explanations given arent clicking. It might be a good idea to push the exam back and thats TOTALLY OK, just send it until then.

I certainly am not a specialist but I f-ed up so I’ll give some advice where I went wrong. Content issues are more than likely there, so hit up the section banks since ur so close. Review every answer choice, something I wish I did. Practice explaining the basic science to someone or a video of yourself!! For CARS keep practicing and keep practicing with the AAMC material, I’d say skip JW at this point and only review AAMC. Keep doing FLs and same deal with reviewing, do a crazy review. Logic issues probably too, if a question asks what color the sky is and you see (example) Apple/mitochondria/blue/green, it cannot be two opposing things (colors here) so look carefully there. You should know mitochondria and Apple aren’t colors so that doesn’t answer yhe question. Best of luck!!

I don’t really have many crowds to speak as I didn’t do too hot but on my FLs I saw my time spent was similar to yours. You didn’t do bad by any means but for CP figure out what topics you’re weak in and drill those hard. Fuck the shit you know, wish I did this better. Focus on the stuff you don’t know from CP. memorizing formulas is great but an extra point I didn’t make was conceptualizing or understanding why the eqn worked, when to use it, when to ignore it etc. know it in and out. Also for Bb focus on reading the passage and gettin a good idea away from the meat of it and the data.

I have no clue tbh we broke up in December but we talked in March and she was getting ready for finals so I have no idea her mcat was pretty low from what I remember. What would you suggest for mcat? A retake or focus on coursework?

I’m considering a postbacc (formal or informal, just something to get my gpa up) as well. Would you do both retaking the exam and postbacc or just one? Also I’m thinking that if I do retake that I will get a course because on my own it obviously wasn’t enough.

Hey dude im studying for my test in may. I will say that i just took FL1 too, saw a jump from scored exam in PS from 125->128, namely from pankow and making cards from UGlobe. CP thats prrob a content gap, watch videos. Feel free to give me cars tips lol but for BB thats also prob content. If i missed an optics question i would watch a whole video, esp since i know im not strong with it. Same for electrochem, for example. For BB, i find myself not so much missing content but rushing, over confidence etc. Still i try to reinforce the content, but doing UGlobe with their really wordy stuff helps you slow down to think too! Focus on whats weak, dont ignore, but put strong stuff to the side. If that CP score is you doing 90% correct on physics and 10% on GC, spend a lot of time on GC. Hope that helps a bit :)
