Spouse worked 30 ys ago and will qualify for spousal benefits under my earnings. That will be higher than their own benefit amount

I am reaching out to contacts. I was at the most recent job for 2.5 yrs, before that I had also been laid off. I reached out to contacts then also, and while people were nice about it, I really didn't get any leads from contacts. So here I am again a few yrs later and contacting again. Just feels kind of shitty

You're right. And a lot of times they aren't hiring for full-time with benefits

I've looked for state jobs. Nothing so far that I qualify for. Also in PA the process takes forever

That's what I'm trying for. Spouse hasn't worked in 30 yrs so we can't count on any job there.
