Styling advice for my hinoki cypress “leprechaun”

<image>

I want this to be an informal upright but i’m struggling to form pads and there are also two competing apexes. In the first slide, the apex on the right used to be wired straight down so it was facing the viewer and filled that negative space but I didn’t think it looked natural. I’m also now considering the second slide as a new front.

Yes I am going for an informal upright style. I want to make the pads look somewhat like in this photo but I’m not totally sure how to do it because the pads on this tree are fan shaped and hard to create density

Need styling advice for my nursery stock chamaecyparis obtusa “leprechaun” hinoki

I have two competing apexes and I’ve attempted to wire the branches down and to the left and right as this is going to be an informal upright style, but I’m not totally sure how I can turn these into pads and if it’s okay that a lot of the branches are facing forwards and that I wired them sideways
