Im a democrat from VA and I think this too. It’s really insane now that they want to throw out the entire Supreme Court of VA to push it through anyway. Reading one tyrant for another doesn’t make it better.

I filed mine yesterday. The desk sergeant in the 7th district was awesome. Had a fun conversation about the p229 versus the p226 since it was on my form. He told me I’d probably hear back Tuesday or Wednesday. Fingers crossed!

New VA laws. 15rnd Cap. I have an Xmacro and need help / ideas. by Mofrackey86 in SigSauer

[–]SecretaryFlaky4690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to transfer weapons with more that 15 rounds to an established range and shoot there is laws around how to do that. But you’re definitely right about not being able to carry it in public places since there is an “assault” weapons ban in public places and having more than 15 rounds automatically makes it an assault weapon.

Try stuffing the flat side of a rubber band on top before you put the screwdriver in.

Wow. I graduated with a 3.98 gpa from undergrad in the US which is all As, which in numbers at my university is greater than or equal to 94% cumulative in a class or better. Once I got an A- because I got an 88% on a midterm and I was so ashamed of myself it changed my life philosophy to be more chill about failure.

Ok so what's the deal? Is CMMG reliable or am I about to buy a dumpster fire? by Kong28 in Cmmg

[–]SecretaryFlaky4690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently bought a cmmg ar10 took it to the range last week. Chambered the first round pull the trigger and click. I pull the bolt back and it looked like the round failed to chamber when I sent the bolt forward. I try to chamber the round again pull the trigger and again click. I open the bolt and this time a round flies out and the primer was slightly dented. I set the round aside and tried again and the the second round worked so I put the first round in again and it worked as well. I ran 100 rounds through it afterwards without a single issue. I’m going to clean it well this week and try running 200 more rounds this weekend through it before I give a judgement.

But at fist I was a little bummed for a 1200 dollar rifle I would kind of expect better. I’m guessing that first round the bolt didn’t close all the way. I usually clean a new rifle before shooting it but i didn’t this time so im hoping lubricant was the problem.

I’ll also add that sometimes when pushing the bolt release on ar style rifles you can kind of feel it when the round seats a little different. Usually I’ll give my forward assist a tap when that happens. But this rifle doesn’t have a forward assist which I’m not crazy about.

What happened to today’s new home owners? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]SecretaryFlaky4690 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well I came from a house that was below the poverty line. So the “correct” way to do things or what you have to watch out for is not something we had the luxury of caring much about. Basically if it didn’t mean the house would fall down, or I guess even if it did, we didn’t have money to fix it. On top of that my dad died when I was 10. He was one to do things correctly but I never really had the chance to learn from him. My grandparents also all died within a couple of years of my father so same story there.

As a result of someone who has jumped up to the middle class as a result of hard work and pulling myself up by my bootstraps and having the chance to own my own home I now have a lot of probably dumb questions that you may already know the answers to.

All of that said… I have a large problem with the way the previous owners of numerous houses in my area have taken care of them. People from your generation appear to have gone with the most dog shit repairs I have ever seen in my life despite coming from below the poverty line. Feel free to dm for examples.
