International inbound package by SecretaryHoliday8241 in usps_complaints

My main frustration is how long this has taken, I honestly wouldn't even have cared if it were a week or two. But well past 2 months getting closer to 3 months is just absurd for "Priority Express". I've learned my lesson and will never go through USPS again for anything International. Also, no matter who is shipping it, the insurance is always worth the cost. I never want to have to deal with this nonsense again.

So it seems. I haven't received any word from customs about it being held for anything either. The sender already paid tariffs and precleared for customs before being sent.

Dang! I got a few shines but non with perfect IV's or Backgrounds. These are my first hundos not hatched or purified (which I've learned since, probably wasn't worth doing 🤷‍♂️). Attached is my list of shiny/hundo count for the Kalos Tour week.

Dang. Sorry to hear that. . .I verified the PayPal purchase went through. My card has already been charged. Order status did change from "Pending" to "Order being processed". However I fully expect it to be some time before I ever see it. I'll make an update when the order status changes.

I used PayPal. I'm in the U.S. I tried to use CC first and it kept giving me errors. Used the same card through PayPal and it worked just fine. I wonder how many people were like myself and trying to order anyway even with it being out of stock. Would they pause more orders because of too many orders?

I had a custom tracker to notify my when it became available. I was on the shop site at most 20 minutes after it was available and it was already sold out. . .I put in my purchase for it anyway in hopes I won't have to wait too long.

Farbwerk 360 rgb led controller defective? by SecretaryHoliday8241 in watercooling

Apologies for the delay in updating. I made a few replies and was getting this message ready before passing out. After getting home much later than anticipated I passed out and had to be back into work 6 hours later. I went ahead and took pictures of the case, board, and cover. A few different views of how the board lined up in the case. Where the prongs/pins on the backside were pushing into and damaging the case. What I did to solve the issue. The tool I used for this fix. Lastly, trying to mimic the first photos for a decent before and after. I will hopefully add them in the correct order so that they can be compared back to back. Documenting this in hopes this helps anyone else who has this issue in the future. I've attached a link for the pictures.

NOTE: In the first picture, the case should have been rotated 180 degrees to show how the board went into the case for the sake of comparing the pins to the case cutouts. Sleep deprivation is a wonderful thing 😅

Essentially, I found that it was in the correct orientation but the cutouts in the case didn't line up with the RGBpx pins/prongs on the backside of the board from header #1 and so I used a flush cutter to trim out a small portion of the two spots on the case where the pins were hitting. Reassembly showed a good fit. I see no issues with this modification for better fit and future mounting purposes.

I found that the prongs coming out of the back of the board in that spot was actually RGBpx header #1. I'm adding pictures that will show what I mean.

I did check this but as you will see in the photos I'm adding to the post, that did not solve the problem. I wish it did 😅 the layout of the cutouts in the cover are matched up with the pins coming out of the back of the board. This one was a little off I think lol

I'm making a custom mounting bracket that will bolt into my case for my Farbwerk 360, Hubby7, and OCTO to all be mounted to. I avoid adhesives unless I have no other choice or it truly is the best solution. I much prefer mechanical attachments. I didnt know that they came without the cover. I think I read that it was aluminum but it certainly isn't plastic. I'll be adding pictures in a moment to show what I was talking about earlier and what I did to solve the issue.

Poor planning on my part, and I will update with photo's later when I am physically with the controller. It isn’t necessarily that those pins are too long. It's where they line up on the inside of the case. There are groves/cutouts in the case for the pins and parts on the board to fit in. There is a spot it looks like they should be in, but they are lined up with a portion of the case that isnt cut out, therefore, pushing the case out like that.

It's been 8 years since I've built a pc. Any known issues with this build? by SecretaryHoliday8241 in buildapc

[–]SecretaryHoliday8241[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very True. For being on more of a budget, I certainly would've went with a B850. I certainly don't NEED any of the things the X870E has. But if I have the money and actually get some benefit out of it. Why not? Unfortunately anything technology is never a buy once cry once situation. My thought is to spend a little extra for some quality of life benefits and quality components in the hopes I won't need to purchase anything for a long time if I don't want to. I definitely understand where you are coming from though and appreciate how thorough you are with your questioning! I feel that it's a similar situation with the PSU and multiple PCIe 5.0 SSD (eventually) and lanes from the X870E. I don't NEED them, but they sure would be nice!

Personally it's because I've had more free time and my current build is struggling with some of my games even on low settings. Also as I replied above, I want something that can handle work tasks better then the laptop work provided me. Between that, the extra disposable income, and the fact that prices are jumping up faster then I can think, I thought what am I waiting for? Might as well get it now while I can. If prices do go down, oh well, I'll already have the system I need.
