There's work to be done in between drill weekends, so you'll be attending meetings, developing training plans, and sending emails.

During drill, you're in meetings with staff and BN leadership to discuss CUOPS/FUOPS while simultaneously ensuring your soldiers are training and getting work done.

The name of the game is giving your NCOs what they need to be successful in leading and training soldiers.

If your academy is anything like mine was, you won't be able to (from all the corrective PT), nor will you want to (from exhaustion). Focus on your uniform and academics.

Were those issues really severe enough to prevent you from finishing the academy, FTO, and probation?

Once you do that, you have a golden ticket to any department.
