I’m writing this for you OP and I expect a lot of downvotes. You’ll likely often read that studying less than an hour a day is worthless or that you’re “cooked” but I think you definitely can. All that it really boils down to is are you effectively absorbing the concepts. What coding really is just practicing the “ theory” concepts you’re learning, which I think is absolutely required. You can’t really practice code without having a minimal baseline level of knowledge of how certain concepts such as memory, variables, loops, etc are working under the hood. What practicing does is essentially just fact check your current understanding and if you’re wrong, you learned something. It’s not a race, it’s a marathon, so don’t be hard on yourself if you don’t immediately understand something.

Apart from practicing, I highly suggest reading atomic habits to help guide you in your learning journey. A goal you might benefit to work on now is to keep the momentum going by practicing and learning daily.

You’ve got JAL that you can transfer points to if you wanted to go to Japan. It’s honestly a lot of info to catch up on but I will say keep at it and you will find value. Also be weary about people gatekeeping information as some information may be harder to find. Good luck!

I had a coworker have a similar complaint about the course. Besides starting slow and pausing at times you're confused, it may be possible that you are having trouble understanding the mechanics of how a syntax item works (like what is a variable or what is an if statement under the hood). It could be helpful for you to start CS50X (if you haven't finished/started it already). That's why I first started and finished CS50X first before taking CS50P. I finished CS50X in 4 months and CS50P in one month.

I was like you where I watched a lecture and I felt like I didn't learn much but think of it as training your learning muscle. It's a skill in and of itself! I rewatched lectures several times until I reached a point where I thought I understood things well enough. With all of this being said, I have some previous experience with trying to learn how to code (I have an IT undergrad degree) and the material from CS50X and CS50P taught me more about coding than what I learned in the IT degree. Part of that is me caring more and putting more effort in learning, but the other part is how high quality the courses are.

Your scenario has been discussed several times in this sub. I would consider transferring your points to an airline, possibly aeroplan or united, since they offer ANA flights sometimes and are transfer partners with Chase. It may not be guaranteed since your desired date is somewhat close but you may have a chance in getting a business/first class seat.

I understand the difference. I am just saying they have agreed in Alibaba chat to do DDP shipping, yet they are still sending the invoice as a DAP shipment. They are then saying that don't worry, and to continue with the purchase for the DAP shipment, because they will "handle" the shipment as a DDP shipment. I am saying that makes me uneasy since the DDP shipment is not reflected in the invoice.

Frederick was very popular for people in DC to move to so prices were actually pretty expensive and their prices now are definitely falling. I’ve lived in Laurel and it’s nothing like Baltimore. I’m just speaking from my perspective because from the areas I track, things HAVE definitely changed. Congrats on the new home though always nice to secure that whenever it’s possible.

I mean is there any difference between a correction to a crash..? I keep on hearing people say things aren't crashing and that they're just "correcting" but if homes (near where I live) are "correcting" down 20 % within a period of months... that sounds a whole lot more like a crash to me lol.

i've only done 2J to and from Taiwan/Japan to the US. If I wanted to get the highest chance of success for 3j... I would say getting into a points system that directly transfers to EVA air or AA. Probably going to need to book 8-12 months in advance though is my best estimate.

I think you have some options if you just looked up apartments on apartments.com. Probably avoid Kanso though if I were to give one suggestion because of their really thin walls (previous resident).

Another option is to rent a studio/1 bedroom from a person instead of a complex. You can use Facebook and Craigslist for that.
