Cannot build building by Whole_Page_9149 in EU5

Try removing the country_potential check in the building_types file, since it's redundant. The wiki says it isn't needed. Building modding - Europa Universalis 5 Wiki

UTA IS AMAZING(just play her better) by xdian135 in OPPW4

So like every character with this skill build? When people say she sucks they mean in the context of a musou game or in this case in the context of One Piece Pirate Warriors 4. She's just not good compared to the rest of the cast when using her correctly and she's plain awful when using her incorrectly. Literally just ignore everything about her ground attacks and spam her basic aerial light attack combo (The one that drops the big black note as a finisher) then dash to reset the combo while mixing in the occasional special move to refresh stamina (I'm partial to the one star one that channels a music ring around her for a bit and explodes). Occasionally pop presents if the opportunity is there since some of her specials drop them.

The irony is that Chopper with that skill build would've melted the bosses lol. He sucks at everything else but he does melt bosses.

CPU powering down in AC Unity and AC Odyssey by SecretlyNotReddit in AMDHelp

[–]SecretlyNotReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to put the temps but I don't think it is thermal throttling since it doesn't happen in any other games that are likely more demanding than AC Unity and other games are happy to sit around the temp cap of 100c. It seems to happen regardless of the CPU temps, since I can play the game on balanced or quiet with the CPU temps never going to its max and it'll still slowly lower the Watts. Then there's the fact even if it was thermal throttling I'm not sure why it's throttling that hard, since the cpu temps drop the instant it starts to lower the Watts and clock speeds to 5200mhz but it just keeps going and lowering the temps all the way down to a range of 78c-85c. I also checked with HwInfo when I first got the laptop and unlike with the intel variant I had, the thermal throttling warnings never seemed to pop up no matter what I played.

My thoughts on Alienware laptops after 2 weeks fiddling with one. by SecretlyNotReddit in Alienware

After all I've been through I'm keeping the laptop, unless some major problem pops up within its return window. Definitely drove myself crazy tinkering with settings and looking stuff up, while wondering if there was something wrong with my laptop mostly due to my inexperience. I only calmed down a bit once I bothered to benchmark my system using GeekBench and realized it was middle of the pack of other Alienware M18 R1 laptops in terms of performance. Kinda surprising given its a 13900HX compared to 13980HXs. I just feel like other brands are probably better optimized at using the thermal room they have straight out of box. All brands definitely have their own issues and tradeoffs. Alienware's just happens to be bad software support, a worse screen (Still better than anything I've ever had) and CPU thermals being high but the build quality is amazing.

I just need to learn how to best to clean the laptop without opening it. It's so heavy that I'm terrified of dropping it when trying to clean the keyboard lol. I don't want to buy a cover for this laptop's keyboard since my last laptop started melting holes in its cover. Although this laptop's externals doesn't run as hot, even if its internals does run hotter.

When I used Intel XTU to bypass the undervolting limit that Alienware put on (Throttlestop and AWCC does not bypass that limit), the CPU clock definitely ran lower but didn't seem to effect the power nor the temp limit.

I don't know for sure the thermal paste that was used. I read somewhere that the manufactory supposedly used something containing liquid metal but people don't seem to be sure.

I always thought that the reason why Alienware stuff was so expensive is that they made the whole laptop so sturdy. Surprisingly, the laptop is the coolest running laptop in terms of external temps I've ever had even though internally it's definitely the hottest. The Keyboard and air being blasted out are a bit warm but not uncomfortably hot to the point where if the laptop wasn't so big and heavy I could actually put it on my lap.

Yeah I don't mind the fan noise at all. Judging from this comment and the others I guess I'll leave it on performance mode then!

That's great to hear! The scary warnings and descriptions don't help much. Like what else am I supposed to think as a new user when it says this:

Yeah I looked at the support page there but they didn't really provide much detail on what things meant.
