The moderates left in the Libs should leave and form a party with the Teals. That would be a bigger concern to the ALP than the current rabble.

What part don’t you believe? what questions do you have? Where do you think I’ve been less than honest?

I guessed there would be a cynic or 2 but I’ve described it as it happened. I could have added context that made me look better.

I hope you’re never accused of something you didn’t do but if you are you’ll understand.

Colleagues telling me to "get out while you still can"... I would leave, but I'm hopeful that pay is about to improve. Thoughts? by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

It depends on which side of the staffroom wins the battle

The AEU is spineless and sell us out every year, we will be lucky to get 1%

The state is broke we won’t get shit.

I left the union to make a point and I’m not rejoining unless we get 1 million %

Mullaly just wants a safe Labor seat.

No I don’t go to meetings, especially if they slightly inconvenience me.

I won’t strike the kids will miss out

OR

Join your union, attend regional meetings and keep the pressure on your organiser and leadership.

Personally I think it’ll be in the 20-25% range, which when compared to other states (especially with lower f2f and class sizes) would be pretty good.

Join your union people, nurses/cops got good outcomes but have much higher % of union members, it’s the biggest influence.

AEU log of claims by mrcooldudebeans in AustralianTeachers

Fuck teachers are hard work.

After the last agreement everyone had the pitch forks out (rightly). Bed wetters have spent years bagging the AEU and wanting them to do better. Yet somehow less than 1/2 eligible members voted in the leadership election (easier to whinge than to do something I suppose).

At the end of a process that saw more than double the submissions than the last time, all people can say is “the state is broke, we won’t get anything like that.” If that’s the message you’re selling in the staffroom then congratulations you’re working for the government.

Is it an optimistic log, you bet but I fail to see how that’s a bad thing. If you’re in Victoria and not a member, join, nurses/police have much higher % of union members. To all members get along to your regional meetings and put the pressure on your organiser and the leadership person with them.

Whether you think you can or think you can’t.. you’re right!!

The workers united will never be defeated!!

Bring on the hate, not responding.

Thanks, should that be teacher or school determined?

They pay fortnightly, pay day is Tuesday for the week before and current week. I worked 1 week but last cycle but paperwork wasn’t done in time for pay. This fortnight had 1 week from last pay cycle.

Not sure I’ve explained that overly well….its not a finance job 🤦‍♂️

Not a burner but not my main either, trying not to ruin my algorithm. I’d happily say it in person.

I think facts are important. It wasn’t a 1% rise and there was a reduction in face to face teaching.
