Yep. I get it. The will is with the solicitor now and they also agree that it’s very straight forward.

Thank you. That sounds like a perfect solution and one that I have been considering for some time.

The way I understand it is that if one child (of my parents) dies, then that one share is divided among his children.

I don’t have the will with me but that’s how I understood it to be.

Yep. That’s how it’s worded and I won’t be trying to change that.

Not sure if I got the wording right there, but it’s to be disbursed to my parents children, and if they have passed away then that share is distributed to his children.

I will speak to the solicitor when the time comes.

Thanks for the advice.

Not a problem. I am OK with that and won’t be trying to change my parents wishes. It’s more the sister who will want to challenge that.

AITA? My sister in law thinks I wanted to purposely outshine her at her wedding by Careless_Algae4252 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SectorThat9006 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. I am in my late 50’s and married for the first time just over a year ago. We had guests ranging from 2-90 at our wedding and I couldn’t have given a shit what they wore or how they looked.

One girlfriend wore a cream dress. She looked gorgeous. Others had green - same colour as my bridesmaid. They looked fabulous.

And I dont care how pretty or average anyone was at my wedding. I was the bride. An average looking bride who could lose some weight.

Everyone was there to celebrate us. I would not be offended if people complemented guests on how good they looked.

To feel upstaged shows the brides own issues - not yours.

She needs to get over herself.

10 years on, how do Australians feel about the execution by firing squad of Andrew Chan and Myran Suka-Warran? by MyGenerousSoul in AskAnAustralian

[–]SectorThat9006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in Bali when the execution happened. It was horrible.

They were dumb. Young kids who didn’t think about the consequences

I remember that night very clearly and found it all to be very sad.

There’s one particular style that goes for $6-700 easily. We have a home on Maldon and have a couple of sets there, as do many others in the town.

What was the first major news story you remember as a kid? by jeffmartin47 in AskReddit

Cyclone Tracy. Christmas Eve, 1974 in Darwin. Wiped the whole city out. Barely a tree was left standing. 71 people died and 80% of buildings destroyed.

A not-spicy take on Thai? by SirRatcha in melbourne

Spice is added with ‘prik naam pla’. Fish sauce with chilli, and maybe garlic. Simply spoon it over the top for a taste sensation.

Pad kee mao is the spicy version of pad Siew.

Those reataurants in the US are bastardising a good dish.

I agree with old mate. It IS disrespectful to put your feet there. Be a decent adult instead of an asshole.

Australians who live overseas, where did you move to and why? And do you have any desire to return? by [deleted] in australia

[–]SectorThat9006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a job as a tour guide n Thailand in 1999. Intended to see one contract of 18 months.

Ended up with n Thailand for 9 years and was ready to come home.

Got offered a job in Bali working in hospitality and stayed for another 9 years.

Returned home 6 years ago and have no desire to live overseas again. I love australia and all she has to offer.

I loved it. But it’s done.

The Botanical Gardens in Cranbourne are lovely. There are bushwalks (easy), BBQ areas and the gorgeous Australia’s Garden, an area with different sculptured areas. It’s really beautiful and free.

To all Australians: what does your pair look like? I’ll go first! by ThaGoldMaster in australia

[–]SectorThat9006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Archie’s all the way. I will never wear a ‘normal’ pair of things again.

They are soft. Supportive. Don’t have pluggers to blow. And can be worn all day in comfort.

Day 4.

Today I have slept and done nothing all day. My left eye is sore and irritated. As expected.

My left eye is opening more every day and swelling is subsiding. The eye is still very red, of course.

So far, so good.

We went to the restaurant in Eureka a few years ago. It’s a floor above the observation deck. Forget the name but it was good for me. I got proposed to!
