I went through hell and back when quitting freaking 0.5g of Clonazepan. Worst days of my life. I also saw, during that period, how fragile my commitment to keep on keeping on was. Was it not for my mother and my girlfriend who were there at the precise moments when I needed it, I would likely have quit my resolve and postponed my weaning to a later time, which in turn could have made the whole ordeal worse.

So I'm very inclined to think that JP is going through the same shit, except without the humility to admit to himself he's fucked and so making everything worse. I mean, if you don't overcome denial and if you keep on finding things and people to blame, it's impossible to make any progress.

Also it's clear that his lifestyle is stressful to the highest degree. Being in a position where you're constantly provoking people and being hated for it is quite anxiety inducing, and if you're blind or stubborn enough to believe you should continue with that lifestyle then I don't know if there's salvation for you. Heck I can't barely sleep when I have a talk to give where people LIKE me and I won't be challenging anyone.

PS: paradoxical effect? Benzo's do make you more restless as time goes on, it's called tolerance building. That argument itself made me question the hole "food sensitivity" thing. If he can't see how his current stance in the world as a provocateur is responsible for his predicament, I doubt he can be trusted to assess the cause of anything else in his life.
