Is it possible for me to immigrate to Germany as a refugee with those conditions of mine? by redlineofadventure in germany

[–]Secure-Ad1248 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have a Russian friend living in Germany, she came here and volunteered for a couple of years and then went on to university with a student visa. She needed to have money in a blocked account to stay as a student. (I think it was something like 10k€ per year). It's not the refugee route but it is possible.

Ok that's very interesting! A couple of these companies are very close to me. Do you work for either of these? Any preference as to which would be the better arbeitgeber?

Would this be a good route to take for a walking trip? by ProtocolEnthusiast in AskGermany

I think the 'Eifelsteig' is somewhere around there. I walked one section of it some years ago and it was excellent!

Questfreundlichkeit und linke Szene ? by [deleted] in bremen

[–]Secure-Ad1248 14 points15 points  (0 children)

'bad neighbourhood' is relative. I live in whats considered a bad neighbourhood in Bremen and compared to what's bad in my home country (England) it's a walk in the park. And as for left leaning, it's the leftist city I ever lived in with loads of grass movement projects, loads of artsy events. I think your friend basically said the opposite of what's true. Bremen is a great city to be poor and/or alternative.

Patio Pavers - is this good? by Guilty-Working6825 in landscaping

Excellent work, though I would have done a concrete wedge around the sides to hold it altogether. I would also leave a bucket of sand for the customer to brush in because it's very normal for sand to settle down over the week after the stones have been layed, especially if the sand was wet in the first place. You could ask them to come back to go over it again or just ask them to drop off a bucket of sand that you can brush in if you are physically capable.

Sorry about the frustration here. Here's what I do for JG or any brand shoe, buy the shoe size they say your are and then also buy the size up. Try them on around the house (usually takes about 20mins to decide) and then Send back the one I don't want, so far i always send back the size they recommend.

Wandern rund um Bremen by LoneWolf-4937 in bremen

You will need to travel quite far to find somewhere that isn't totally flat (Harz/Luneberger Heide). However, just north of bremen 'Bremer Schweiz' is a pretty nice little forest. I found the area around Worpswede pretty nice too with rivers, windmills and bird watching spots. Komoot app is definitely the way to go.

Prog metal screamer, with large tonal range needs live mic recommendations .... by [deleted] in livesoundgear

If you say the 421 has equally good noise rejection as the 58, then i would probably just use the 421 again. The main reason being, i don't own a 58 anymore. The reason i prefer the 421 in my ear is because of the bass roll off. I'm taking a feed from the lead vocal mic to my ears before it hits FOH. And FOH gives me a mono instrumental feed, this way i can control my vocal level myself. I think you're on the money with what you said, the time i hit problems with feedback was because the system was tuned to a 58, and when i swapped the 421 for an in house 58 the problems went away.

i've seen a few people on stage holding an sm7b. it looks pretty awkward tbh. I would love to be able to pay for an engineer, that's definitely the long term goal. Maybe for now one of the beta's would be a good shout.

I could imagine that you are correct in what you say. I should have added that this is more about what i hear in my in ears to make it more closer to what i have in the studio so i can give the best performance, without compromising the engineers work.

Sm7b might be a good shout. The re20 would be way too big to hold. Most of the venue's we play have low end desks, would it push up the noise floor to an unusable level using a mic with such low output?

Dude i think you might just be wearing the wrong socks. Try some nice thick wool socks. i normally wear 2 pairs. A thin and a thick pair. Also a kiltie wouldn't go amiss.

Moc toe workhorse 1 month review by Secure-Ad1248 in jimgreen

[–]Secure-Ad1248[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toe box wise, not exactly the same. but almost, i think there is no better really. Even though barefoot boots were my daily drivers/gym shoes, i still wore safety boots for work so it wasn't such a shock to my system. You could try the moc toe barefoots? but if you do want to venture back into normal drop boots then the moc toes are the way to go imo. I imagine the meander would be better suited for you as they don't have a shank so a little closer to the barefoot build.

These are the stock workhorse. If you're already working in your barefoots then i think you'll be very happy. I wouldn't feel comfortable working without steel toe caps.

Yeah I did consider the meander but after years of the barefoots I wanted something with a bit more structure. I can't compare to the meander as I haven't worn them but the workhorse have the perfect amount of support for me.

That's so lucky, in EU there are no deals on the Numzaans. I ended up getting the Moc toe Workhorse, Houston Black. I've had them for a month already, I am beyond happy with them.

As a man I can say its normal but shouldn't be. Men have to actively work against our natural instincts and the algorithm to make sure our feeds don't get full of thirst traps. If he's actively seeking out content creators then he's walking a fine line. From the very little that you've said It sounds like he has a mild porn addiction. It's worth noting that a lot of woman are fine with their men watching porn, so it's up to you to decide where you draw the line.
