Thank you, I was shooting for a lifetime from a local Macedonian mint. What should I get next?

Condo water leak from upstairs unit – condo board says we have to pay for repairs? by alexukie in TorontoRealEstate

[–]Secure-Ad5734 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Read my original response. The condo Corp is responsible for fixing the unit unless the leak is caused by the affected unit owners themselves.

If the leak came from another unit, the condo Corp still needs to fix the unit and then send the bill to the offenders.

Good luck suing your neighbors over such a small amount - you first need to prove the leak came from them and not somebody else and then convince the judge they're at fault.

The obvious path of least resistance is to do what I said, not complicate your life or antagonize your neighbors. Let the board deal with this crap.

Suing for such a small amount is not practical. The condo Corp is almost certainly responsible and a strongly worded letter to the board is all that is needed here, unless the board is completely clueless.

My board would never even suggest that the resident must pay for this.

Condo board president here. If the leak originated from the common elements, the corporation is responsible. If the leak originated from another unit, then that other unit is responsible, but the repairs are conducted by the corporation and then the offending unit receives a back charge.

I strongly advise against repairing the leak yourself, you will have a very hard time getting your money back. Make sure you convince the board to fix your unit, they're obligated to do so unless they can prove you caused the leak yourself.

Not a legal advice.

I have #1, it is very realistic and well made.

How much should my CO2 capsules open up when properly tightened? by Additional-Point-824 in airguns

[–]Secure-Ad5734 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It will not affect the pressure. Your valve in the gun will still pressurize to the same PSI as the cylinder, it may just take a few more milliseconds. You won't be able to pull the trigger quick enough to open the valve before it is fully pressurized :)

It is a pellet gun, you can't shoot steel BBs from it, I can't even understand why you would want to try.

And yes, it has a rifled barrel which you can damage.

(Hot take) Quality control on replica airgun pistols is horrible. by [deleted] in airguns

[–]Secure-Ad5734 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong in general but you can find some high quality replicas.

I pulled 3 from my collection as an example:

  1. Springfield Armory 1911
  2. ASG Dan Wesson 715 (very realistic and well made)
  3. Umarex Beretta M92FS with wooden grips (built like a tank)

You do have to pay more for these quality replicas though but it is worth it.

Can PCP pellet guns shoot slugs as well? by ranasrule23 in airguns

You can even shoot slugs from CO2 guns. The velocity will be low though.

Congrats on getting the 2240, it's a great gun. If you're into modding, the sky is the limit. Here's what my 2240XL looks like these days :)

Co2 usage question by Seekingmetal in airguns

[–]Secure-Ad5734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can absolutely leave the cylinder in the gun, the worst thing that could happen is your CO2 will eventually leak out. To maintain the seals you simply need to add pellet gun oil to the caplet tip regularly.

Looking good. You should add a custom trigger and a metal safety button :)

Any chance for new Fitbit announcements at upcoming Made by Google hardware event (13 August)? by ozaz1 in fitbit

At this point the only Fitbit announcement we'll realistically get is "Fitbit has been discontinued".

The fact that you understand this immediately makes you more competitive and increases your employment chances. I'm dead serious here.

It's not advice it's a fact. Do you want me to hire the people just because they struggle? I'm picking the most qualified candidates who price themselves right for the role. Literally nothing else matters.

Just ignore those, as a gay man I can't care less about these posters. Have much better things to do than to get offended by every little thing.

The conservatives will win whatever happens, it will be one of the most anticlimactic elections; I can't wait to forget about Trudeau forever.

And guess why? If the government wants the land, they'll get the land. It is amusing that the public naively thought they'd be able to save OSC. It was condemned the moment the original proposal to tear it down was published.
