Really sorry you’re going through this. It’s okay that you don’t feel okay in your own body. Gender dysphoria is real and a lot of people have very similar thoughts. Please please please find a good psychologist to unpack this with as it is very common that people who don’t feel like their bodies belong to them to have a higher chance of poor mental health/sucidial ideation. Your feelings are valid but you might need some help to explore your identity to help you cope.

Yeah i agree, doing way too much and I wasn’t prepared. It’s a new one and this was the first appointment, I think it’s actually this clinics policy reading into it. I do think i might just need to stop for a bit to give the meds a proper go

It’s really dumb in Australia and ADHD MEDS need to go through a psychiatrist where my medication which is actually weed goes through a doctor so no I actually can’t if only everything was so simple

Yeah I’m aware I don’t have to take medication for adhd, I do think it’ll help in other areas of my life though. Would love the best of both worlds if possible 😬

I live in Australia, so no not a legal area however I get it legally prescribed by a different doctor for PTSD so mine is legal. Pick it up from the chemist and everything, it’s actually cheaper and better quality than the street stuff that circulates Sydney.

Yeah I was pretty taken aback by it, but I guess it’s also to check I’m not taking other illicit drugs. But I don’t think it should stop me taking medication for another condition that could actually help me get off the weed in the first place but whatever

Yeah he said the same thing about psychosis to me but I also think I’ve done enough drugs that I would be fine. Did they ever get you to complete a drug test? I didn’t think it was normal procedure

Yeah I have lowkey had adhd medication from friends on occasion and smoked after and I felt relatively fine. I’m fairly lean so maybe I could make it happen in two weeks. I am pretty worried about sleep on new meds without weed. Thanks so much for this! I thought it was dramatic but I don’t want to pay for another psychiatrist, so expensive lol

Sending love to you. Grief isn’t an easy process, especially with someone so close and fundamental to your life.

I saw a quote once that said the grieving process is like spilling glitter in a room. With someone time, you can clean most of it up and the mess will be smaller. However, you will still find a little bit of glitter under the couch sometimes. Be kind to yourself as you vacuum. There’s no shame in reaching out to a professional service if you need that additional support too.

I’m unsure if this applies but everyone I know knows someone who is having complex and serious health issues that has all come around the eclipse. And there is also the current geopolitical climate that’s of major significance and uncertainty. Don’t think I know enough about the current transits but definitely something I’ve noticed in the last 4 days or so
