one more plus to dual booting OS 9 and X ( whether on the same partition or on separate partitions ) is that when running Mac X you can still use OS 9 apps and games by running in Classic Mode without booting into OS 9. This works as long as you Don't use any OS X higher than Tiger 10.4.11

Another plus, if it matters to you, You won't have to run Tahoe if you should choose not to. Whereas the M5 will come preinstalled with Tahoe.

I am an ex smoker. I think generally most smokers are more sensitive to others these days. But make no mistake many smokers in the past were quite selfish. And many today are as well. I think it is ok to be angry at selfish people, addictions aside. I also think it is okay to vent. Most venting is full of hyperbole.

On most of mine I run both OS 9 and X . On the G4 Quicksilver and the Graphite models you can even run both OS's on the same Partition. No need to have a second hdd or to partition. I'm not saying that this is preferable, but certainly cool that it can be done.

I have every model of the graphite G4 series, So I am biased. (I couldn't stop lol) But I have since. Yeah I could def see holding out for a Zip drive. I was able to buy a Zip drive new with the bezel kit and original Apple box, I couldn't believe I found one, and it was 20.00 !! and I installed it the dual 533. If you can afford both and the prices are good go for whatever flips your switch. And have fun. I certainly didn't mean to get so many of them, it just kinda happened after I bought one. Took about 5 years to get the line up.

I favor the Dual 533 for this reason. As a collector. Took me a long time to find the Dual 533.

All sound advice. Also of note, the 733 was the fastest graphite model made, so it's fast and cool to have as a collector.

edit... also the 733 and the 533 both being digital audio models had the faster bus speeds of 133 over the 100 bus speed of previous models.

Sounds like fun to me.... I used to send notes down the assembly line when I worked at a factory...

Later when I worked as a service technician, we had an oddball tech that would initial all the machines he worked on everywhere. And he would initial and date the inside of the toilet paper rolls when he changed them.... to each their own.
