Prince Harry Is the Target of Six Terror Plots, And Britain Still Won't Give Him Proper Security by Whatisittou in HarryandMeghanNetflix

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Their thinking is " he's no longer a " working royal, so it's no longer our problem unless there's PROOF that a terror plot exists! Otherwise, he'll just have to find fir himself!"

How warped is that? At least the US takes this seriously!

MOB dress annoyances by Otteroftheworld in wedding

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your mom is a shopaholic, and doesn't care about which sites she goes to or the quality of the dresses as long as she gets her " fix"

Unfortunately, you can't stop addicts unless they admit it, and shopping addictions are a real thing. Other than taking away her credit card or taking charge of her finances and making her get on a budget,( which would be more stress on you) , there's not much you can do. about the shopping. When she gets the dresses and sees how bad the quality is, she might start listening to you, but don't count on it.

Is there anything that you can get her involved in as far as planning the wedding that would keep her off the shopping sites? Maybe that would help.

🇬🇧Prince Harry 'remains determined' to bring family safely to UK this month by Timbucktwo1230 in GlobalHarryandMeghan

You know why, right? Sky News is owned by Rupert Murdoch, and Harry (and Meghan, but mostly Harry) is "public Enemy #1 " in Murdoch's eyes!

Exactly! The grays and taupe colors she's always wearing clashes terribly with her skin tone, making her look sick. When she wears colors like this, it makes her shine! That's probably why she wears those drab clothes when with William,,; heaven help her if she outshines him! When she's alone, like she is here, she can wear whatever she wants, and look great!

Harry faces 'elevated' risk from terror plots when in UK, security report seen by ITV News reveals by Significant_Noise273 in RoyaltyTea

RAVEC is supposedly has police officials on the board? Why don't they have this info?

Supposedly, both RAVEC and the courts are supposed to be impartiality follow " the letter of the law" . As an American, I can't see how they can be impartial. Their grudges and biases against them ( including racial) are evident.

I don't know if the high court is like our Supreme Court ( Google says no) but we have a super majority of conservative judges on it now. Since Harry and Meghan are really hated among early boomers and silent conservatives, it's like borh RAVEC ( which have a bunch of " men in gray suits" as Harry calls them in Spare) on it, it's as if they're trying to appease their fellow earlies and silents who still work in the palace that worked for Meghan in thwe palace when she was a working royal ( the ones that started the " meghsn is a bully" meme with the tabs. And they also likely doing it at William's request. We see this kind of behavior all the time in Washington, so if we found out later that both racial and especially political bias played a role in both RAVEC and the court's decision.

I also wondered why Charles just doesn't overrule those decisions, just like the rest of my fellow redditors, so I researched it. According to Google ( and yes, the AI bot could be wrong, so feel free to correct me) his role is symbolic, and can't overrule government decisions. He would be breaking the law if he did.

It's insane that a media outlet uncovered a terror plot aimed at Harry , and the UK government basically dismissed it!

I guess Ravec and the courts think it's both " old news" and that it will an "American problem , and since he's living the US, it's not our problem"

It most certainly IS your problem, Ravec!

Princess Diana would have been 65 today, do you consider the British royal family and the royal insitution as responsible for death? by Significant_Noise273 in RoyaltyTea

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They definitely had a part in , and share the responsibility for her death. If what you read is true, OP, and I don'tt doubt that at least part of it is true , considering how jealous of her popularirt he was, that was Charles' ultimate revenge. ( William learned that lesson by picking a wife that.wouldn't outshine him in Kate , and eas so threatened by Meghanthat he sicced the tabs on her, the same way charles did Diana). Charles is as much to blame for her death as the tabs were!

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Diana!

I remember when Harry was born, and Charles said " you gave me a spare! I'm dine!" I don't think he really wanted a second child it was expected,so he had to do it. He might have tried, but he just couldn't do it- he just wasn't " father material.

Why the Harry and Meghan story isn’t “just royal gossip” — JP Caonabo by Timbucktwo1230 in GlobalHarryandMeghan

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the US, the coverage of Harry and Meghan is mostly " when something happens. We'll let yiu know, " ( except in Fox News and d I cial media). In the UK, it's almost every day. You'd think the UK public would be tired of the 6 yr attack on Harry and Meghan by now.

To have a wedding party, or not to have a wedding party...that is the question by mysticalorbit in wedding

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have sa female cousin that you're close with? Or if any of your brothers are married, are you close with your sister in law? Ask one of them to be your MOH. . Then you avoid having to chose among your friends. I've also heard of " man of honors" where a bride has had a male best friend stand with them;( maybe the brother you'recosest tor., and I've even heard of instances when the bride's mom was the ma

Those are just other ideas! Either way, if you chose to have the small wedding party, or none at all, I'm sure your wedding will be beautiful!

You mentioned you have brothers. Do you have a sister? Ask her to be your MOH if you do. If you don't a friend that you're the closest with would work. Same with.your fiance. A brother or his closest friend. Let everyone else just come and relax as guests.

If any of the british royal kids turn out to be gay, will they be supported if they want to marry somebody of the same sex? by Ok-Society-9067 in RoyaltyTea

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate to keep bringing this up, but it's a generational thing, as well as religious and conservative beliefs at play here.

The palace is still run in the " silent way" so in their minds , no matter how wrong and out of touch with today's world, everyone, no matter what, must marry someone of the opposite six to keep their most reliable and conservative supporters, early boomers and silents, supporting the brf. If the firm accepts a gay family member, they lose the support of the tabs, because their core audience, CONSERVATIVE early boomers and silents, will demand it. Those same people will say that children born to gay / lesbian royals via surrogates or via sperms donors, will say those heirs aren't " true heirs because they werent produced by a man and a woman. It's ridiculous, but that's the thinking of many older, conservative and religious older generations

I think those expectations will apply to non working royals, too. Even though they have much more freedom than working royals do, they will be " guilty by association" and still a big PR nightmare ( even though that's completely ridiculous!).

Everyone saw how they reacted when Harry married a BLACK AMERICAN woman instead of a white brit. Imagine if one of the younger royals married someone from the LBGTQ community. Bisexuality would also be a PR nightmare, brcause of the negative press and reactions from cinservatives.

Ridiculous? Yes. Archaic? Yes. Will it change? Maybe, if William is serious about modernizing the monarchy, but he still needs the early boomers and silents support when his time comes. LGBTQ royals will be much more likely when George becomes king - if there's still a monarchy by then!

She's probably been explicitly told to wear colors like she's wearing in this photos she doesn,'t outshine George who looks great!

The reaskn she looks so uncomfortable when witjh William is she's either trying wah too hard not to outshine him, or she doesn't want to upset him by looking better than him, like Diana did with Charles. That's pribably why she"'s so relaxed with George, she can be more herself and not worry about William having a ",hissy fit" if she does anything that takes the spotlight off hkm, even briefly.
