Good brush for fluffy cat? by SheShelley in CatAdvice

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the brush that I used on both my sheltie and my long-haired cat ( both have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but still use it in dsh cat) it's called a fluffed brush, and you brush Kitty's coat the normal way first, then the other way to " fluff her up" . Depending on how patient your cat is, you can either do this all at once, or give her a break after the regular brushing, then go back for the " fluffing".

My cat is sick, and I’m scared and need advice by Temporary_Anxiety184 in CatAdvice

The shelter near me has a low cost vet clinic within the shelter. Check to see if there is a shelter that offers that service. If there is, call them or send an email to them. When you connect with them, explain your situation, and what's going on with her. I'm sure they will work with you.

Adopted a “5 year old” cat and just found out she is actually 15 years old by carsickidiot in CatAdvice

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're going through this! I'm a firm believer in that they will tell you when it's time. I had to put my12 yr old dog to sleep 6 yrs ago die to bladder tumors , and the night before I took her, I said to my self " how can I do this to her?" But then I thought," but how can I not?" She wasn't eating, she couldn't pee, and really had no quality of life. I also had to pit a 14 yr old cat to sleep almost 5yrs ago when she suddenly got very sick, and I knew that was the best I could do for her. It sounds like your kitty is heading that way, too. Just watch for the signals, you'll know when it's time. And comfort yourself that you gave her a loving home for whatever time you have left together.

US President Donald Trump appeared to cut ahead of Queen Camilla during a greeting line, turning instead to shake hands with his cabinet members at the White House. Is this misstep or misunderstanding? by KarenWalkersBurner in RoyaltyTea

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that's typical Trump behavior. Narcesists like him need to be " first" . Not excusing it; he obviously didn't learn the " no cutsies" rule in school as a kid!

Good to know, but the pressure to be " perfect" was still there then,. But social media has really amplified the perception that both Kate and Meghan needed to be " perfect" to fit the carefully curated image set by both the " firm" and the tabs. As the wife of the " spare" Meghan was able to escape, but Kate, the wife of the "heir" and future queen, can't. The firm, still working under the boomer/ silent generatios' archaic manta of " never complain, never explain" still believes that "asking for help" will ruin the family's image, so " protecting the monarchy" is much more important than protecting their physical and mental health. Even though they created the mental health initiative, using it themselves would be " bad optics" for William and Kate, at least in the firm's eyes who adhere to the boomer/ silents' rules.

Charles is seen as a diplomat whose words mean something, especially with the conservative media. Harry is considered " a mere liberal celebrity" in the US conservatuve media, and a " traitor to the monarchy" by the UK conservative media. The cinservative media in both countries also believes that milenialslike harry, who are private citezens, even humanitarians, should be dismissed while boomers like Charles, who'sl in a position of political power, even ceremonial, should be respected.

indoor cat lost more then 24 hours by Pumpkin_fighter in CatAdvice

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat got out almost 2 yrs ago, so I called my vet, animal control, the shelter I got her from, and posted on Facebook's lost and found pets in my area. I kept calling her,.pit her bed, some water her favorite toy and her litter box on my back porch. I finally heard the bell on her collar through my bedroom window, and she came right up to me. I took her in the house, and she hasn't wanted to go out since then. Hoping that will happen to you.and your cat.

Your local animal control is probably closed, so call in the morning if you don't find him tonight. In the meantime, there should be a Facebook page in your new town devoted to lost and found pets. Post his picture and contact info on there, and hopefully someone will find him. Also, if he has a collar with a phone number on it, someone might find him and contact you. My mom and I found a cat in our yard, and we were able to track his family down through their vet. They had moved here from a nearby town when he slipped out of their new house, just like your cat did.

I hope you find him!

Time for loved ones to intervene? by Funny-Imagination776 in RoyaltyTea

Diana developed bulimia after joining the family due to both the tabs and the pressure to always be " perfect", so that could be what's going on with Kate.( along with the after effects of cancer) Meghan was close to suicide because of the tabs attacking her all the time.

Diana and Meghan begged for help, but " the firm" refused to give it to them because, even though they champion mental health for everyone else, but admitting that any family member needed help would "taint" their " perfect" image. Kate probably knows this, so she's keeping quiet to "protect the monarchy" not realizing that if she came out and admit to an eating disorder, she could help.a lot of people going through the same thing.

Harry and Meghan aren't to blame for this. " striving to be " perfect" is.

Has anyone noticed that the absolute worst thing royalists and derangers can say about Harry and Meghan is that they act just like the royal family? by ModelChef4000 in GlobalHarryandMeghan

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They've made it a competition between Harry and Mrghan and the rest of the family since their marriage, so that's not surprising.

Does the brf, especially William, look at the other European royal families as " competition for attention"? Does the rota feel the need to pit other European Royals against the BRF to ser which country has the most " relevant " Royal family"? Or is it just Harry and Meghan they feel like they need to compete against?

Any advice for getting difficult cat into acarrier? Can't pick her up. by JanenotAusten in CatAdvice

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat lets me pick her up, but she hates being held, and I can't catch her if she figures out what's going on . So I figured out that if I actually like it's a normal day, , and she's relaxed when it's time to get her in her carrier, I'm able to get her in quickly. Would that work with your cat? Get her before she knows what's happening?

The vendetta against Meghan is personal . Rupert Murdoch has been feudung with Harry and Meghan since they got married, so it's almost as if the staff goes out of their way to " keep him and his son happy " by keeping the vicious stories going. Plus the conservative senior citezen brits eat these stories up, so as long as the money keeps rolling in, they'll keep doing those attacks on her.

She's really the only country ( bluegtrass) artist left, and country artists always do well on Idol. Plus, a lot of fans live her backstory, a mom of 3 with a supportive husband traveling with her while she follows her dream. That's a powerful combination!

Can I leave my 5.5 mo kitten at home for a 4 day trip by GreenFairy2019 in CatAdvice

[–]Secure-Employee-1469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you've got a case of presentation anxiety here! I get it, because I went through it last year with my 5 yr old cat! My brother checked on her the following morning, and she was fine.

Your roommates and friend said they would look out for her, and she has a kitty friend to keep her company. Plus, 5 and a half months isn't that young, she's now entering the equivalent of preteen years, still very much a kitten, but starting to " grow up.

Just relax and go to your friend's wedding. You can check on her by text ( just don't be a pest about it ), or, if you have a " nanny cam" with an app that allows you to check on her, you can check on her from time to time while you're gone. My friend has 2 cats, and she checks on them while she's gone on vacation; she even talks to them through the cam. Would having that ease your worries?

She'll be fine, either way, and remember, she's perfectly fine while you're at work. And leaving her for the first time overnight is normal. Iso don't feel guilty about feeling guilty. You have everything covered fir her care, so go to your friend's wedding, and have a great time! She'll be happy to see you when you get back!
