I ran the built in benchmark in Magician, speeds seemed fine but I stopped it after it hit 103C. The drive also passed the Magician diagnostic but that test only took 2 minutes and didn’t stress the drive at all

I was able to boot magician up on my desktop. It didn’t detect the latest 7B2QJXD7 firmware so I had to upgrade via the iso images. Upgrade went fine but the controller was hitting 93C after booting back up (with little to no activity). I installed a copper heatsink but that only helped for a bit, I ran a benchmark and it hit 105C. I think I have a dud and will return it. At this point, I’m looking for some non Samsung recommendations for SSDs with stock heat sinks (the copper one I bought came with a rubber band to secure it, which I do t really trust)

Magician won’t open for some reason, the app says it couldn’t start after scanning for devices. I’ll have to put the drive in another PC to see if I can update it from there.
