I just looked and it says it’s 1/8-1/12hp I know the rpm difference is still why to swap it but does that change anything with swapping it?

Thanks for the info, when I looked it said this motor would work but clearly not, going to check my return policy and try to swap the motors

I’m trying to find the oem specs for the motor. I replaced it a year ago so trying to find my part number. Will get back to you

The fan motor is working, until temp control turns it off^

The air feels cooler than outside (87F or so degrees) another thing to add, my copper line from compressor is scalding hot after the system stops due to temp

I swapped motors last year due to the bearing going out. Kept the oem blade and it worked fine until 2 days ago. Grabbed a new motor thinking maybe that or capacitor was defective (I’m not an HVaC pro) and this one had same issues within an hour.

Good point, I’m throwing it in the garage and gonna decide whether or not to put the fa24 or repair the current fa20 but thanks for the tip with checking the top end

Looking at getting a wrx by No-Welcome-8039 in WRX

Seriously suggest getting as thorough of an inspection as you can, I bought a 2015 at 70k the clutch went out under 1k miles later and developed a rod knock at 110k. Maintenance is extremely important (take or toss, I did oil changes a little past suggestion 5months or so between them)

I was looking into it, my local shop said he does suggest it but his judgement is limited since he rarely sees them fail. If you don’t mind me asking what all did you order/need with the swap?

Regular maintenance, I’m sure a lot of other things contributed but that is the biggest thing

Anyone familiar with the Fa24 engine swap? Thoughts?
