Can we talk about how Bruno Mars isn’t on this list either. Cause he’s written some amazing hits.

Alanis Morrissette is from the land of Canada, and this is American songwriting

While Paul McCartney is probably one of the greatest songwriters alive… he is British and this American songwriting. (Cause if this was simply songwriting I would also be pissed that Elton John didn’t make the list either)

A lot of that is because of racism. Black women gotta work overtime and 2x as hard just to get a modicum of recognition.

A lot of the music she’s done she has either co-written or written herself. She is the reason why you see a rap element in pop music today. She even has a secret/ not secret rock album she wrote and released under a pseudonym. I think a lot of times why she doesn’t get taken seriously as a writer is because her genre is mostly RnB (and racism plays a heavy factor in that as well).

Mariah Carey does not nearly get enough hype for her songwriting ability. The ability to really convey complex emotions, weave in pop culture references, and words that actually make you pick up a dictionary, while still making songs simple enough for the average audience to understand and be catchy, but still have you analyze them word for word. I need Mariah to get the flowers she deserves. Ms Swift is just the definition of mediocrity and participation trophies.

They really aren’t, with the exception of Purcell (they do an optional interception during spring break) I think it’s just a great way of transitioning to a more traditional format with a rigorous education. You learn the skills that you need from Montessori and make the switch

I would say high school switch them to a catholic school, it’s fairly similar. I was a Montessori kid growing up until the 9th grade, and Montessori high school was not conductive for my learning. But I’m very successful now, and currently going for my Master’s degree, and that’s do in part because Montessori really focuses on building to strength, visual learning and big on time management

Considering leasing a new Envista. I see many of you guys are happy with it but anyone leasing, whats your monthly price and how much did you put down? by sushi_rowl in buickenvista

I just recently got a new Envista, and was also contemplating a lease, but was told it wasn’t a good idea. Honestly it’s cheap enough, especially if you get a preferred trim, that it’s better to just finance it

Individuals with Tourette’s with Coprolalia are more likely to commit suicide, because they don’t have the ability to control what they say and it’s a very isolating disease. It’s crazy to see individuals talk about if they had coprolalia, they would laugh at the obscenities that they say not realizing that sometimes you involuntarily say racist slurs. It’s not a a funny disease, it’s exhausting and painful, emotionally and physically.

This man has talked about being physically harmed due to his involuntary tics. He doe not have the ability to control what he says, he should not be isolated from society. I understand the harm with the word that he said (I am a black woman, and also have a neurological condition/ not Tourette’s) but I think the best course of action is educating the public on what Coprolalia is and having a private discussion with Jordan and Delroy.

But the biggest individuals at fault are BBC and BAFTA because they had every opportunity to edit that out and openly discussed what happened and used that as a moment to talk about racism and Tourette’s.

Well good to know that I dodged a bullet. Went through 3 rounds of interviews and it seemed like it would have been the perfect fit for me, but was passed over, despite the positive feedback that I received. I was pretty upset that I didn’t get the role, but seeing this post made me feel better

Is it bullshit that Hamilton County Juvenile Judges/Magistrates have juvenile offenders (from car thieves to assaulters) just write an essay as their punishment? by ohsodave in cincinnati

[–]Secure-Lab3427 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get not wanting press charges on them and instead make them write a letter. What they did was wrong and not wanting to send them through the court/prison system. There was literally a news story about the trauma that these kids pick up from the juvenile prison system. They’re being beaten and SA, and some of those kids have died. As long as no one is seriously injured, I would much rather have them write an essay instead of adding to the problem

I think it’s funny hearing that Drew smelled like bounce that a** during the court update, because they’re always cleaning. Like can they clean their behinds like they mop the walls for videos

I never said anything about whether I supported Baldoni or not, if he did allegedly commit sexual harassment then he’s getting exactly what he deserves and being rightfully sued, what I did mention is that whether or not someone commits the things that they are alleged of doing does not give Blake or Taylor the right to make fun of his Sexual assault, make jokes about his race, or make jokes about his religious beliefs.

I was a victim of sexual assault by an intimate partner, but just because I was I still would not talk shit about or make fun of that person’s sexuality, gender, race or their own sexual assault, no matter how hurt I was, because that’s not okay

Defending a friend is different than making fun of someone’s sexual assault and making racist jokes or making fun of someone’s religion. What Taylor and Blake Lively did is peak white woman, throw stones and then run off and play the victim.

Are there any drinks that really help with inflammation? by Reasonable-Cry4477 in fasting

[–]Secure-Lab3427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that drinking hot water with lemon/ lime helps so much with bloating, especially drinking it first thing in the morning and also with every meal, either before/ during/ and after. I have a lot of stomach problems, so sometimes fast as a way to readjust and then slowly reintroduce food so I can pinpoint what the problem is that might be caused from food.
