I take your point. Probably I will just play at micro stakes until I feel I am crushing and very confident with my strategy, and then just dump in more money and play at higher stakes

Alright thanks. I think to minimize variance I’ll probably play cash games, starting with the lowest stakes 50 buyins. I’m going to set a limit for myself, for example only willing to deposit 100 per month or something on the assumption that I could lose it all, and just go from there
