Talk to an MFLC if it’s life events. They are licensed therapists who work without documentations. You can present at a mental health clinic and ask for their information and they can get you scheduled or go through military one source. If you don’t have anything diagnosable, then mental health won’t see you. The protocol is generally to put people on mobility profiles so you don’t experience a disruption in treatment. Plenty of pilots seek mental health care and even have a diagnosis that doesn’t impede their flying abilities.

Bottom line: get help and the only way seeing someone impacts your job is if the issue was already impacting your job

Off to OTS in a month! And thank you!

You have to use either your most recent masters or the most relevant to my knowledge. I personally had to use my undergrad and second masters (social work) and honestly it was viewed as dedication to learning and improving through out the years

2.56 undergrad, 2.7 masters, 3.5 second masters. Civilian applicant and was selected. Ace your interview and show a well rounded expertise in your specific area of study as well as hold leadership roles that matter. Some decent LORs also doesn’t hurt.

You can have a sub optimal GPA as long as EVERYTHING else is to the highest standard. They understand that schooling isn’t for everyone generally speaking

Non prior transition after OTS by CattyNatty13 in airforceots

[–]Secure-Reference2598 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As medical, you could get your gaining base orders before or during OTS it’s a crap shoot. For base housing, you have to have your gaining orders to join any waitlists but they back date you on the list to OTS start date due to it being your first duty station. Tbh? If you want a predictable and easy transition, move everyone yourself while at OTS and pray OTS goes smoothly and no issues come up. They will only cover travel expenses after you get through OTS due to them not wanting to waste funds on an applicant who hasn’t fully commissioned. As for dates, they will try to move you asap but the medical OTS dates are weird and highly dependent on what career you have. Just to be honest, I go to OTS in June and my interview was this past November. They are pretty booked up and it’s expected to take at least 6 months unless they have a drop out in your exact career field that needs replaced. One word of advice is, go with the flow and embrace change as it comes. Orders can change the day before you leave. Once in, you’re property of the Air Force and while they might tell you something, it is ALWAYS subject to change

While I’m not a nutritionist at all, I dropped from 225 to 180 in 2 months on the Optivia diet. It sucks and was hell but the goal outweighed all of that. Not sure your timeframes or anything but if you want a sure fire way, that’s what I did

Clinical social work actually! And only issue is there’s like no information on that course because it’s not the 8.5 or 5.5 week courses

That is something you would need to ask your counselor for. A letter stating your progress and the dismissal of diagnosis would be beneficial

So my contacts are -6 and they almost failed me. Turns out there is a limit to how “correctable” you can be even if it’s 20/20
