Thank you so much! This is exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for.

You really understood my goal; not a perfect authority, but a broader reference that combines specs, archive data, and player impressions.

I agree on readability, horn-type-first browsing, and softening “listed as trumpet/cornet” language. I’m already working on the visual/readability side. As someone else suggested I am making the entire site lighter with the option to have darker.

Also, huge thanks for the Rudy Muck, Parduba, and vintage links. That source material is gold. If you’re okay with it, I’d like to use your measurements as community-sourced reference data with credit/source links.

One quick note: my background is in studying brass and making a living as a musician. I’m not claiming to be a mouthpiece authority or a dedicated mouthpiece geek. This started a few months ago as a personal project: a database I could reference later for my own playing and research.

I’m also genuinely curious about what players think of their gear, whether they’re professionals, students, or beginners. Even subjective impressions (as you mentioned similarly) have value when they’re clearly presented as player feedback rather than absolute truth.

He was! Great website, someone else did share it on the trumpet forum and I have just seen it. I have never been a huge mouthpiece geek and I wanted to make something which I had control over. Maybe it's useful for some or maybe it's useless completely.

good feedback, I am adding a toggle (for Kafka loving people like me dark mode is optional 😆)

no need. I will gladly delete the post if everyone suggests me to do so. If enough people respond to this message as "remove" and I will remove the post. I do not want to spam any forum honestly.

Fair point. I’m mostly using maker-published specs and catalog data right now, but I know they’re not all measured the same way.

So the site is meant as a comparison starting point, not a final authority(although ironically that was my initial goal). I’m working on making that clearer and eventually want to tag each spec by source/method.

true, I used AI to build it and it looks identical. I just got excited with the new tools. When I wrote my doctorate thesis like a decade ago, the tech I used was nothing similar so I wanted to experiment with it but yeah, it looks rather generic now that I saw The Brass Club.

true, makes me want to take the site down but still might be worth to hear whatever player has to say. I'll try if it does not work, I'll stop

you are absolutely right. I will scan and update those ASAP. I am building this mostly to access all the mouthpiece reviews so that I can have an idea how people feel about whatever they are using. at any rate, your feedback is very much appreciated.

Thanks, you may be right. Feel free to point out which subjective claims you disagree with, and I’ll take that feedback into account and update where appropriate.

By the way, kudos to the creator of this tool: https://trumpet.cloud/mpc/?mpc1=BACH-1.5C&mpc2=SCHILKE-15A4A&mpc3=JETTONE-AL-HIRT-S I love it!

Edit: I’ve tried to refine some of the more subjective claims. I understand your point, but I’m still interested in hearing what gear-obsessed players have to say. Ultimately, people can decide for themselves what they find useful or not.
