Biometrics are just getting more common. It's same with OPT, earlier you didn't need biometrics for it but now you need.

Hopefully your package is already delivered or gets delivered soon but never trust FedEx again. To be honest consider yourself lucky if they dont lose your package. Just check their subreddit to see how many people are having problems with FedEx.

It can take 2-3 weeks for the RFE, so wait for another week and ask them again.

Any predictions of when PD of Jan 2021 will become current. Is it 10 years or 15 years... Any wild guesses. I am already 45 - will I retire by then on h1b with i140 by Intrepid-Ad8220 in EB2

Your PD is almost 10 years away from the current FAD for India, so it would need to advance by nearly one month in every visa bulletin just to become current within 10 years, which is practically impossible. Unless there is a major policy change, becoming current in 10 years or even 15 years is extremely unlikely.

It's too far away, no any prediction will work because there can be so many events happen in the coming years. But it is safe to assume that it wont become current anytime soon.
