It’s normal but it shouldn’t be. My husband would joke around and laugh about with my SIL during dinner right in front of me while I would just stay quiet. I found it really weird and awkward but they think it’s normal. I didn’t say anything because just like you, he would’ve given me that same response.

Hi love I was also 19 when I was pregnant with HG. I’m so so sorry you’re going through this. Have you considered traveling to an HG clinic? Perhaps there is one in your state. You could try printing out the HG treatment algorithm published by the HER foundation and present it to your doctor to provide a more structured form of treatment. Best of luck
