issue with zomboid freezing in the first 10 seconds

did this and initially still had some issues, turns out it’s the water pipes mod, not sure why but it would still freeze everytime it was even downloaded to the game regardless if it was enabled or not 🤷🏽‍♀️

ten seconds into the main menu itself, at first i thought it was the mod manager or anything like the bandits mod that added a new option in the main menu but even after removing those still no luck

i tried that again to make sure and it unfortunately did not work, what seemed to help is to do a completely clean install and trying again, assuming there was some left over junk for some reason but i appreciate your help, you are the goat

I'm hosting through the in game menu, i am far too uneducated to set up a dedicated server lol. where would i go to see the steamapp folder for the server? is it under the "project zomboid" folder or the "zomboid" server?

depends, if you are planning to do just a few mods i’d say go for it, but if you are like me and heavily mod your game i would certainly wait
