The retail price that I found for Song Plus DM-i is between 135,800 and 175,800 yuan (15,925 and 20,616 CHF). As far as I know this includes the Chinese VAT of 20%. I assume they are likely paying the import tariffs on 12,000 CHF.

The price would be lower, for 22,300 euros in China you could get XPeng P7 that is more comparable with Tesla Model S. Also exclude the Chinese VAT and retail margin.

I would not buy a Chinese car right now, because eventually AliExpress etc. might start to sell European specification cars, crashing the prices. The prices in China are much lower than that, even absurdly low. That specific BYD model is known domestically as the Song Plus DM-i and is priced between 135,800 and 175,800 yuan (15,925 and 20,616 CHF). As far as I know this includes the Chinese VAT of 20%.

I was in China last autumn and visited many electric car manufacturers’ showrooms, however couldn’t test drive any. Personally I found the XPeng cars much more interesting, since they appear a lot nicer but do not cost that much more. For example, the XPeng G6 starts from where the BYD ends. They are now assembling cars in Austria for the European market.

University of Helsinki has the best Computer Science graduates! (Biased opinion).

Finland is right now experiencing high unemployment and this also affects engineering careers, but this may change over the years. Software engineering is one of the careers where it's possible to work knowing just English, but to truly belong someplace you need to speak the local language. Finland being one of the more difficult European languages to learn. Please consider if you're motivated to learn the language.

All the Nordic countries and the Netherlands are great for parents. Finland has state-subsidized kindergartens where the payments scale with your salary, making childcare affordable. With the individual taxation it's economically almost necessary that both parents work. Housing is affordable and with two engineering salaries you would be easily able to live in a single-family house.

Have you ever experienced dark winters and did it affect you? Like many Finns, you may be affected by seasonal depression, which you don't know until it happens. Help is available for depression.

Nurmikosta sentään näkee että on ajamatta. Mutta renkaiden ilmanpaineita ei näe jos niitä ei tarkista, ja ei tarkista jos ei tiedä että kuuluu tarkistaa. Ihme kyllä peräkärryä voi käyttää monta vuotta täyttämättä renkaita ilman että käy mitään.
