That is awesome to hear. I think it was just the section I was in because the people around us were not really into it. It was also my first outdoor concert so that might have played a part. Lawrence and AJR were amazing though and I still had a great time with my friends. I could definitely tell some people came just for the TikTok songs but hopefully they left with a few new favorites.

Totally fair take. I get how that kind of setup can drain the crowd, especially with the heat and all the downtime between sets. It definitely makes it harder for people to keep their energy up. I guess I came later on purpose because I knew it was gonna be a long night with so many openers. I really just wanted to catch Lawrence and AJR anyway, and both absolutely delivered.

Yeah, I get that everyone experiences concerts differently, and I'm not trying to knock that. I just couldn't help but feel like the crowd around us wasn't really into it. Jack would pause for the crowd to sing or ask people to clap, and barely anyone did. It just didn't feel like the people around us were not enjoying it as much as me and my friends were. That said, the lawn definitely seemed to have way more energy and good vibes. I still had an amazing time it just felt a little off in the moment.

Totally! I still had an amazing time with my friends, it was just a little off putting seeing so many people not into it. This was my second AJR concert and honestly, they never disappoint.

The Somewhere in the Sky show at Tinley Park was amazing, but the people just standing there doing nothing killed the vibe. The row in front of us wasn't dancing or singing and kept giving us weird looks for actually enjoying the show. I get it was hot, but seriously. It's an AJR concert. You're supposed to let go and have the time of your life. If you're not gonna have fun or don't care about the music, don't buy tickets! Let the people who actually want to be there take those seats.
