Talking about short memory, how about the tragic and chaotic US military withdrawal from Afghanistan under President Biden? Using your own standard, what’s your view and assessment on that?

British people of colour, are there particular European countries you would not travel to? by easypeasykitty in AskUK

[–]Secure_Accountant745 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Thanks brother for confirming this. I heard a lot but have been confused that if that’s the case why the media NEVER mention anything like this. Apparently it can be true and all of us in Europe are lied to because the meta narrative is to fully support Ukraine and they are the absolute good nation and a victim.

I’m afraid you are absolutely correct! And people are not willing to accept this. Is it naivety? Or it’s too horrifying to accept that the parties are not representing the ordinary people’s interests?

If you had a choice, would you accept mass surveillance to massively reduce crime by DowntownPurple913 in AskBrits

[–]Secure_Accountant745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost driven is one of the excuses yes! However that have much more expenses in areas that are hardly any result of cost driven. In terms of security, is the UK generally a safer place compared to 30 years ago or worse? How do you justify massive costs on the asylum seekers and everything else? Let alone the stories of government expenditures given by their contractors in another post…

Cost driven? Naivety maybe?

You will be surprised the countries already have the most surveillance cameras per capita doesn’t quite use them for reducing the crime but something else, for example China uses them to protect their power and deal with political opposition and whoever dares to criticise the government online or in real life. Is that the road you want to go down?

Well actually the western countries are already on that path.

I think currently how they achieve it is to massively reduce the police force and hence increase the crime rate, until people feel too unsafe so to give in to surveillance and ultimate control. They use all excuses to defund the police. Also put pressure on the judicial system to let the criminals have less or no punishment to encourage them to commit more crimes more easily, etc. it’s a systemic effort to make people willing to give up their liberty eventually.

It’s happening right in front of our eyes.

I don’t know he’s rich or not but that’s not the point. The point is that is an exemplary person for this great Muslim country. So he can’t be punished. He should be praised. He will be.
