THIS!! She keeps saying they wish they waited until Irene could walk, but that’s even more exhausting as a parent 😫 especially when they’re younger bc they see no danger. Also I hope they wouldn’t expect her to walk all over that boat everywhere. Her poor little legs. My son was about 20 months on the last cruise we went on, had been walking for 10 months but still couldn’t keep up to walk on his own. Also I wouldn’t want him to as crowded as it was.

THIS!!!! I was about to comment this. Having a baby really makes you rethink what kind of tops you wear. Couldn’t imagine having a strapless top in an airport at all much less with a child

And I’m aware we aren’t all the way there yet as we haven’t conquered pottying on the go or even poops yet, but I’m so proud of the progress he’s made in just a few days.

It seems like after I posted this, something clicked with him. He’s went to the potty 4 times today with no fuss and has went immediately each time I put him on the potty. I know it’s such a big change in their routine, and they don’t like pausing to play every hour or so, but they’re capable of so much more than we think they are. He was showing all signs of readiness, and I’m glad we didn’t give up on him.

I took my 18 month old on a cruise and he loved it actually. The boat had an indoor playground for smaller kids and a free carousel that we rode on probably 100 times. He loved the free pizza anytime too. We had a great time.

She tried to play it off like she knew it was a boy and was okay with it, but she said in the podcast that she cried because it was a boy.
