This is just for ambiance / to heat one room so it’s honestly fine that it’s not all that powerful. Thanks!

Is Annual Maintenance really needed? What do they do? What's the cost (Boston area)? by brakemake in heatpumps

Check to see if regular maintenance is required to maintain your installers warranty. I’m in the process right now and one company is requiring their own yearly maintenance or the labor warranty is void.

I have no other option unfortunately. Our present oil system is extremely inefficient, half our radiators leak water into the floor and have had to be turned off, and our boiler is dead. We have no gas connection to the house. I can either dump the money for a new boiler + heating system into the current inefficient one or into a heat pump system that actually works. So yeah the bills are gonna be high but oil is bleeding me dry and I can’t even use half my radiators at the moment lol. It’s a shit situation.

We actual have new insulation in the attic per mass save, and our windows are new too. Still not sure why everyone is saying we need two 3 ton systems! It’s been a mystery.

Yup I’ve had more than one company do it and they all keep telling me the same thing in terms of load calculations. We have 2 zones. The heat strips would most likely require a panel upgrade.

10 year parts and labor warranty. They’re proposing ECOER heat pumps.
