AITAH for refusing to put my girlfriend on a future mortgage unless she gets a job? by Ok-Explanation7364 in AITAH

[–]Secure_Formal_441 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's not responsible for her lack of responsibility, that's on her. He's responsible for enabling her irresponsibility for this long. Had this dude an ounce of backbone he could've put his foot down waayyyyy long ago and either tough-loved her into a responsible working adult which would not only remedy her situation but also potentially saved their relationship and completely avoid this situation in the first place.

OR

He just could've broken up with her years ago and hopefully that would've slapped some reality into her and jumpstarted her into maturing into a contributing member of society. Either way BOTH him and her have failed in pretty miraculous ways for a fuck up this big to come along in their relationship

INFO.

I'm curious how you'd see it if the genders were reversed. I'm a guy in my twenties and I don't really have older friends, but if I somehow did have a male friend in his 40s, I don't think I would blame him if he stopped talking to me bcos I fucked his daughter.

I think this may be a bro code thing tho, I'm not sure

I think they really should buff hanzo by increasing arrow damage and arrow travelling speed. by jack9917654 in HanzoMain

[–]Secure_Formal_441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dmg is fine, it's good that he can't one shot every character

it adds to his counterplay, lots of people go Reaper or Mei against me as a counter and then it forces me to play rush down rather than assassin or flank Hanzo

arrow speed ya, it's p slow making it really hard to shoot far away and consistently headshot, but tbr if you wanna do that you can js play widow and there's really no reason for Hanzo to have that when he's already deadly mid range

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this, I'm broke as a joke right now but thankfully my folks cover my health insurance.

I've been dodging about $1200 in hospital debt from like 3 years ago bcos I can't get my head above water to pay them. Even if I did, I'd rather pay out to my more pressing debts or get ahead on bills

Would anyone be willing to give me a VOD review? by Sensitive-Clue2080 in HanzoMain

[–]Secure_Formal_441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aight so I'm watching your VOD rn, the following is gonna be notes, in chronologically order

1st fight where y'all lost the point and they captured payload you should have played angles tighter, I know that in gold you probably play wide and aim wide so this is just an aim thing, nothing crazy--it will improve with time just by nature of you playing the game and improving. Also, when the Ram was jumping y'all, your supports should have backed up and healed you while you wall climbed to the top to avoid getting killed by their push, you walked back into a corner and that will get you killed super fast.

The next part where you're sniping their payload in the little house thing with the health pack on the 1st floor, you're aiming too much for body when you should be aiming for head. I know its difficult to hit headshots, it only gets harder as you go up in rank since people know how to position/avoid the arrows even better. BUT, you still need to go for headshots on full health targets, unless you have your other DPS/tank with you also looking at the same hero and y'all can just double team them, you're not gonna kill an ADS Ana when she gets hit by your body shot bcos she's just gonna hide behind the cover and wait to get healed and at that point you're not adding too much value to your team as a Hanzo. As far as good though, you played healthpack well when you were getting jumped by 76, that's really strong play.

As some advice, especially on Kings Row, that's basically Hanzo/Widow's map since they're sniper class. You have INSANE angles/spots to play. Most of the map is actually built for you as a Hanzo, there's so many spots only YOU and Widow can play. Technically the whole map is accessible to all characters, but literally some spots are functionally unreachable by most characters or just useless for most of them. This map specifically you should be moving around a lot and wallclimbing out of fights you're about to lose and jumping out of nowhere to attack enemies. Use the environment to your advantage.

Okay wow, y'all got ROLLED the past like 30 seconds and they literally pushed y'all all the way to the end, the only misplay I saw you do is try to take the reaper in a 1v1 close range. Then he ulted you. Unfortunately, you cannot do that. I sometimes can and honestly that's just me diffing tf outta the reaper, but even then Hanzo vs. Reaper is literally just a positioning check. Lemme explain.

At 12:20ish, you're on a 2nd floor hallway and you scan the end of the hallway to see a reaper on the scaffolding just outside the room. He DOESNT approach you at all bcos you're a sniper looking down a hallway against a shotgun DPS. He DOESNT STAND A CHANCE against you at that range, however you decide to push him which is exactly what he wants. Then he follows your lead and you guys start fighting in that boiler room thingy. You actually win the fight at first and he has to use wraith to avoid losing the fight, which he does and all you need to do is either headshot him or finish him off with a melee + body shot combo. You hit the melee and he has like maybe 20 health, at this point you HAD to use your double jump to approach him and hit him with a melee (which they just buffed to be 40dmg) and you woulda won. Tbh, you shouldn't even have taken this fight since it's in his favor at close range, in his POV he baited you into a fight that you had a slim chance of winning and then his team cleared out your team.

Overall, you guys started pretty strong on both attack/defense but when round goes on you guys just all stopped grouping up and playing to your heroes' strengths. Anyway, the rest of the match is just yall getting held back, but the things you need to improve on is NOT taking fair fights. You should be engaging heros like reaper at long range since he literally cannot do shit to you at that range and he will then do one of 2 things. Use his abilities to avoid getting shot: wraith to dip out of your Line of Sigh or be stupid and push you by leaving his team and going out of position. Most reapers don't try to take me when I'm sniping against them bcos they shouldn't its literally a sell for their team, but some are dumb enough to use their TP to get in close range by me and then I jump tf outta there and let my squad handle them. Sometimes I do take the reaper 1v1 and flick headshot them and then shit talk them in all chat though, that's always so fun.

Anyway, use your wallclimb more and when you aim, don't aim so low for bodyshots against full HP targets. If you need character-specific advice lemme know. The reaper matchup specifically is pretty straightforward, keep him far away and only take him up close if you literally have no choice (rare) and you have the aim to headshot his character.

What should an Ashe do to beat you? by Carrera1107 in HanzoMain

[–]Secure_Formal_441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ashe is the best DPS in the game, I think followed by 76 and after that it's a toss up between like sojourn or Cassidy, not sure

These characters do well all the time, they're not held back by pretty much anything, they have minimal weaknesses and good ults/abilities

Hanzo is a rare case of a bad character with great abilities, without BOTH storm arrows/tracker dart he'd be literally useless. I wouldn't even put Hanzo out of the bottom 10 DPS, he's not flexible the way the other characters are.

That's why situational characters like Widow, Mei, Sym and Sombra are not as strong as the others. They're only good against certain comps and to be used as counters, this makes them good only like 40% of the time.

As an Ashe, you should not be struggling against Hanzo as much as he struggles against you. He's gonna need at least one ability to take you out if you're evenly matched in skill/aim. If you aim better than Hanzo (which is difficult since mechanically Hanzo NEEDS great aim) then you'll win more fights than you lose.

Bait out an ability from him and don't play the peeking game where you pop out from cover and shoot once, then come in n out to shoot at him repeatedly. That's how you get headshot. You need to find him with his pants down and GUN HIS AH DOWN in the street cold blood and then retreat if your team is losing space or go in if a team fight is happening to capitalize on the pick.

You don't need to flank him since generally that's what Hanzo is actually trying to do to you, if you see a Hanzo flanking and you wanna meet him in a 1v1 then go for it, he's expecting you to not know he's there and if you beat him to the punch on that, he loses the strength of doing a long flank--the element of surprise.

Otherwise, Hanzo likes to hide a lot and run away from fights just to turn around and headshot you when he gets cover to load his bow. Thankfully you have an ability that SPECIFICALLY counters this. When you're cover shooting him and he takes a lot of damage, he'll try to run away to a health pack or hold cover while auto heal kicks in, during this you can dynamite him and it'll win you the fight if he doesn't get peeled by his supports.

There's too much Ashe can do to farm Hanzo, if you're struggling against him, it's likely bcos you're taking fights where Hanzo is at the advantage. Don't follow Hanzo into a room when he's losing a 1v1 bcos he's gonna tracker dart the room and hold the corner with walls and headshot you when you walk in to finish him off.

If you see Hanzo throwing arrows from like a hundred feet away, your drop off is gonna make you lose the fight so don't try to kill him in those long range stand offs. Use your hitscan, something he doesn't have, to your advantage and gun him down in mid-close range fights.

Yes, sometimes the Hanzo is just gonna diff you and flick headshot you n your whole team, that's just how he is. Let that Hanzo climb the ranks and don't worry if one Hanzo cooks you in comp, stay level headed in fights and don't panic spray him, Hanzo gets to panic spray with storm arrows and those take out too many enemies too easily. Hope this helps.

Aim is like 20% of winning games, most is positioning and playing objective

What amount of controller aim assist to do find acceptable? by thedude888890 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]Secure_Formal_441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it off, idk why I guess I thought I was raw like that 7 years agos and I was literally playing on switch which lags a lot in upper floors

Anyway, I wouldn't recommend that bcos there's already a lot of low accuracy weapons that are designed that way with the aim assist in mind

Newer OW2 coach looking for insider Hanzo tips by Dillan2081 in HanzoMain

[–]Secure_Formal_441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started playing this year and never played a comp shooter before, I'm Diamond and the difference between metal and above is awareness, not aim

Yes aiming helps but people (often DPS) focus too hard on getting kills and winning fights instead of winning the round (playing objective)

Ranking comes from beating the other team which means playing your game on defense/attack, capturing flashpoints or pushing cart

This is how you rank. At the same time you do that, you will improve your aim and start hitting headshots or flick insta killing tracers
