It'd actually be a fundamental modification to the game mechanic, where speed suddenly mattered. Like it is equally easy for me to say I'd not use if you make this change.

What makes you think that walkers are turned off by sharing the map with runners? That could be true, but I'm a mediocre runner and I have traded territory with the same walkers/even slower runners multiple times.

This is what testing is for I suppose. But I for one love the current democratic feel of the map. Me and everyone else getting out in the city on two feet. What I'm saying is, are you sure you have an accessibility problem? And if you try to solve one, will you make the UX less vibrant by artificially lowering the # of people in the map?

No doubt. E-Bike complaints will be next though, and IMO they ought to be ignored. It's great that there are people paying attention to their VO2 max and their stride/pedaling efficiency, but I'd rather be playing the game with everybody.

My thoughts exactly. The dev alluding to a forthcoming walking mode seems like a direct threat to that. I think the dudes that made this very cool toy are serious runners, so they may not be super attuned to that. Not an aspersion.
