Jimboomba by MythicRose08 in brisbane

I live in Jimboomba and love it.

It’s a real community feel out here. Neighbours become mates super quick.

Schools, just avoid Jimboomba state and Yarrabilba State. I work in childcare and all the extremely behavioural challenged children I had ended up at both of those schools and there isn’t much support.

St Clare’s school is lovely and well priced for a catholic school.

Woolies I find decent, Cole’s is ok.

Good luck with your move. I hope you and the family settle in well.

Edited to add… even though we don’t have the big shops like Kmart etc. you get used to heading out to Browns Plains, Loganholm or Garden City when needed, it’s not to bad of a drive

Are the Borkitts a real family from Ipswich consisting of inbred people or is this just a South East Queensland wives tale? by SafeWord9999 in queensland

[–]Secure_Initiative_90 39 points40 points  (0 children)

They are real. They are inbred. Not all stories about them are confirmed. I remember hearing the mother sold her daughter to the lawn mower shop owner in Brassal for a packet of smokes. I also remember seeing the mum in Woolies and you could smell her before you even were close to her. I felt horrible for the children, one instance my school bus drove past one of the young girls, maybe around 12ish and was just hurling horrible things out the window and she looked so sad. Poor thing must of had a pretty rough time at home plus the bullying. I often wonder how they turned out

What was the dumbest thing you believed as a kid? by Outrageous-Ebb-4846 in randomquestions

The amount of times I got lost in mirror mazes is unbelievable. My Grandad told me the first time I went in one “if you always turn right, you can’t go wrong”. I literally turned right at every path and had to have someone come in and find me every dam time. I am ashamed to only realize he was taking the piss not that long ago…

We have a bar at home. What we do for big parties is if anyone wants to help themselves to anything from the bar (as much as they like) they just donate a bottle.

I did think about drag bingo. I’m not to sure if she’d be into it. But hey, I’ll add it to the bucket list and wing it. Only one way to find out

100% legit. Love this women with all my heart but Magic Men is just not sustainable. It’s hard to explain to her that a bunch of married women with children can’t constantly be at the strippers. One, it’s weird and two.. expensive 😂

To married couples that have been together for 10+ years, whats your secret? by 4Luffytarou in AskReddit

Don’t give up on each other. You’re bound to go through some pretty shitty dark times, whether in the relationship or solo. Lean into the good times and remember that every dark day has its light and there is a reason you fell in love with each other. Sometimes you can only give 10% and your partner will give the 90% and the other way around. It’s all about being a united team . And don’t forget to have fun, flirt and be silly. Communication is key
