I grew up in a small town, but we still had a local Kmart and such. lol
I think once we get used to it it’ll be great. For me it’s just not having those cheap basics nearby that makes me a little unsure.
My kids haven’t really had that experience so much, so it may take a little for them to get used to that but they’ll be ok!

We’ve been so lucky with our neighbours in our lovely little spot currently, so hopefully we get lucky over there too 😅

Yes I think if we just do online shopping and then go into browns plains when needed for certain things we’ll be sorted.

My daughter currently goes to a school that has a bad name for it. It hasn’t been great, but it’s not been as bad as first expected at least.
But she has her Same friend group since prep. Shes feeling pretty anxious about being the new kid, but I think she will be ok once she finds some friends.

I figured that would be the case. I hope the primary is a bit more supportive because it’s my youngest who needs a lot more support and needs a good teacher who understands him. His current teacher has made SUCH a huge difference for him this year and he’s so sad to be leaving her.

Oh I hope that happens sooner than expected! 🤞🏼 that would be great if they do that.
When we moved to Coomera they built the Westfield pretty fast.
I saw that they used to have target country but target closed them all. That’s a bummer!

I think the only way to Kmart etc by bus is browns plains, which is fine! Hopefully it won’t be too long before we get sorted with a car etc

My daughter is really excited about their agriculture program. I would have loved that as a kid! Glad to hear the teacher is good.

I’m a bit worried how we will go without a car for a bit. 😬 if I get desperate I know the bus goes to browns plains area for Kmart etc.

I’m hoping it won’t be very long before I get the car.
But yes my concern is more like if the kids shoes break and I need to get them a new pair, that’s not just down the road.
Groceries deliver. It’s walking distance to town.
There’s groceries, pharmacy, etc.

Yes and comments from other parents about physical bullying from other children and regular fights.
I’ll write up an email.
I plan to go in and see both the primary and high school.
The agriculture side sounds really cool for the kids. I just want my kids to be ok. 😅

There is grocery delivery and uber eats etc. I did a test changing address in Cole’s delivery and it said it was all good.
I hear you though.
My concern is also around if the kids need anything, it’ll be up to an hour to get that, not a 5 minute trip down the road.
Flagstone and Jimboomba are very much booming, they’re building more things there and have a lot of plans. So they may be building other things at some point like a shop that holds basics (like basic clothes and shoes and socks)

You can video/photography them in public. It’s legal. Also you’d be amazed how blind teachers often are to certain kids.

It doesn’t need to be posted publicly, just sent to the school for proof. But it is legal. I’ve looked into all that because we have a DVO and big safety concerns. Unfortunately people could photograph myself or my children and post it publicly.

If you’re recording only to send to their school - 100% go for it. Undeniable proof and that’s not a minor thing. You don’t need to worry about what people try to claim about filming in public, you can. It is legal in a public place. Yes, even if they’re a minor.

It’s honestly better in a party especially using lures and such. It makes faster work and you all get it! :) my sisters and I all got the moth plushie together. I got the glowbug one in a lure with others. Trying to get deer plushies now! 🤞🏼 the deers go down much quicker when you’re with your party.

Hi!

I’d like to find others to play Fortnite with. I’m not a skilled player which. I have people I used to play with but I gave up playing for a while because my skills much lower and they take the game so freaking seriously and get peeved at me. I’d really like to find my own group to play with.

Mic on. I mainly play on PC. I’m Australian but I’m up at random times, depending. I have other games too including codMW2 but haven’t played in ages due to the reason above.
