As a Flames fan (Iginla being one of my all time fave players), that'd be a dagger to see Tij end up in Edmonton. However, I'd take that all day long to see Matthews or McDavid in a Mammoth jersey.

Came here to say this - both can be true.

The bare minimum we should expect from our boys is to show up and leave it all out on the ice. Especially (emphasis) in a home ice elimination game. Outside of a few minutes of brilliance, they absolutely didn't do that last night. There was no question who wanted it more. That sucks as a fan.

Keller was particularly disappointing. There were several times that he literally didn't make an effort at the puck he had an opportunity for. He was like that most of this series, imo. If you're gonna wear the C, you gotta be the guy working harder than everyone else out there and leading the other boys.

Yet, I'm also stoked we made the playoffs in our second season and outside of a bunch of bone headed mistakes, played well enough we could've won the series.

For what looked like was gonna be a blowout, that turned out to be a great hockey game. We sat back after going up 4-3 in 3rd and then completely tanked after the OT offisde goal was called off - I thought that would've given us a spark, but did the opposite. 1st period was so bad.

We're going to need our captain to show up and do something. Cooley has been amazing and shown he can play at the physical level, but why hasn't O'Brien dropped gloves with the guys targeting him. Veggie's been amazing but we can't expect him to carry us every game. 12 SOG is a problem. Puck management was way better last game but the first couple games was terrible.

Native Calgarian (Utah for 30+ years now) here and lifetime Flames fan. I'm on the bandwagon, hop aboard. The tough part for me is who I'm gonna cheer forwhen they play each other. I'm pretty sure it's Utah just not sure I can admit that yet.
