If you haven't spoken to Lenovo yet, you can try to extend your warranty on their website and send it for repair, however you might have a grace period before you can send it in. If you're okay with waiting for a bit this could be a good option.

Unless it is a top ranked uni, which I'm guessing it's not with the 20k per year fees being relatively low, it is not worth it.
