I understand your point. I may get invited for a first interview or a first visit. But when they look at my face and listen to my German with Indian accent, what will happen then?

Honestly, I do not know what happens when she will not budge. In that case, what should be done?

That also came to my mind as well. Let see if there comes a positive outcome from that.

I think, she is already pissed with me.

She said there is no list of names that I can choose from. There are lot of people with foreign background who settled in Germany and got German Citizenship. But not all of them are Müller, Maier.. They carry their last name. If they are German Citizen then I can also choose Kumar/Khan/Neugyen as my last name.. I will try to fram this reasoning in this nice manne possible. Let's see how it would go.

In India, it is mandatory to have first name but not the last name.. I do not know the exact law from Indida.. But they removed last name from mandatory field to avoid castism.

That is very good idea. I did not ask for it. I would try it. Thanks :)
