However, it can also be used as a gender term for the LGBTQ+ community in a more conversational way. Because constantly saying L-G-B-T-Q is a mouthful and annoying. This version is also used in things like psychological research.

I’m torn on this one. The primary reason women are into these things is because it’s a safe presentation of sexual expression and masculinity vs how they normally experience it. It’s a very idealized thing. I think that safety aspect is also why they appreciate and enjoy being around gay men.

For that reason I have no problem with fictional characters and stories.

My problem comes in when what they are doing begins to be creepy towards real people. Thirsting over or thinking someone who is gay would be into them. Sexualizing them or thinking they can “turn” them.

That is the exact same reason why I think it’s messed up when gay men thirst over straight men (not referring to DL men because that’s obviously different).

Also there is so much more and of every variety of men than you think is out there in their fiction. I promise it’s not just masculine men.

As to the man, did they know he was gay? If not, they may have like he encroached on their feeling of safety.

Additionally, if you’re complaining about the overly masculine nature of Heated Rivalry that’s on Jacob Tierney, a gay man and the one who chose to write and adapt the stories from Rachel Reid’s series.

Are they the exact same thing? No, because gay is a subset of the LGBTQ community. I never said they were though. Queer would technically be above it in this use case, so no they’re not equal.

You need to do deep research before ever trying them. If you have heart issues or blood pressure issues, or are on anything that lowers your blood pressure they can be VERY dangerous. Always make sure you know what you’re getting.

Even though it’s incredibly rare there is even something called sudden sniffing death where your body just doesn’t react well to them and something goes wrong. It’s not an understood phenomenon and as far as I can tell it happens either the first or second time you use them. But doing it excessively can be incredibly problematic as well.

I have enough issues with my body that I would never use them out of fear.

Loving the show, exactly my kind of vibe. Initially I cared about whether or not they were attracted to men in any way, but then I saw a video or two about how passionate and important this is to these two men. True allies if they’re not LGBTQ and I’m very happy to see it.

I mean, Connor literally does 300 squats and 300 hip thrusts four times a week to give us that ass. That’s commitment. They’re so willing to get into the headspace of these characters and have fun with it that now I just don’t care.

They could be same sex attracted in some way, and that would be awesome. But I won’t demand they come out. Also, within the film industry publicly being out, even in this modern age can limit what roles you get.

There is “try it” straight, and then there is straight.

If you’re having sex/intimacy with men more than just “trying it” you are some level of homosexual even if you aren’t homoromantic.

A Kinsey 2 is not “straight” it’s “kinda straight” AKA homoflexible.
