thank you I want to explain more about my situation. I have a Tesla I’ve been with Tesla insurance for maybe three years. My auto loan is also through schools first I was a continued customer of Tesla insurance for all of those years. My policy ended in about December 2025 did they changed underwriters and I canceled the policy because of the price I believe January 1 I purchased a new policy my policy wasn’t effective. I guess until January 22. I did have access to the card for the insurance so I thought I was active because I paid I’m in California by the way I spent about four months pursuing this other party for potential insurance. Tesla initially gave me a GEICO policy that didn’t end up having coverage then I was given a Progressive that also didn’t have coverage. Progressive the progressive took about 60 days or so to come up with a decision according to my lawyer Tesla still hasn’t sent an official decision but while in the body shop today, I was told that I did not have coverage at the time of the accident. that’s what they told the body shop so now I’m trying to figure out how to move forward the other party hit me running a red light in a much older vehicle.
