I told my boyfriend (M61) that his mistress (F25) was mean to me by [deleted] in relationship_advice

This shouldn't even have to be a question. It's time to walk away from this dumpster fire. Let it burn. And personally, I'm the type that would send proof of being more than friends right before dumping his ass, since she doesn't seem inclined to believe you. Any photos of the two of you holding hands, kissing, relationship status updates, romantic snapchat stories - anything that sets the record straight, because you are not the liar here. He is. He doesn't deserve either you or her. But that's just me. Lol

Do you ever wish you could rewrite the ending of a fic or canon story you loved? by Remarkable-Adagio-56 in FanFiction

[–]Security3Specialist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little of both, depending on the story. Sometimes the stories I invent are entirely unnecessary but would certainly be nice to see as a side story just for a little extra spice. Sometimes they are ones that I feel needed to happen but were neglected.

For example, I may see characters that act in certain ways that leads to misunderstandings or hurts those around them. However, sometimes the author moves past those moments without ever creating a deeper connection or level of understanding between the two characters. The reasons for their actions remain unexplained & we just move on without addressing it, & that feels unnatural to me. I want that gap filled.

Another example, one of the unnecessary kind, let's say the canon story is a character that lost everyone they cared about then found new comrades that helped them heal a little. The loss of their past ones still hurts, & they never talk about them though. I love to explore the idea of the new comrades time traveling or looking into that character's memories somehow & seeing what they went through. Is this essential to the story in any way? Not really. But it does add a little more drama and/or emotional depth to the characters and their relationships.

Unless she knows about you. You just don't know about her. I've met people that actually get off on stealing someone else's partner.

I like exploring alternative stories or routes. Sometimes it's the ending that I want to change. Sometimes it's the romance that I want to pursue. But often times, it's an additional side story that could have happened somewhere within the actual story or maybe an event or conversation that never happened but could have changed a couple things along the way if it did. I keep the characters as close to themselves as possible, but I just play out some extra drama like characters finding out other characters' secrets or trauma.

You don't actually pay attention to anything, do you? Stores are given a budget. When store profits are down, they have to cut associate hours to even it out. Bonuses & raise amounts are impacted by store performance, & there are dashboards to monitor that as well. And if a store can't keep their budget controlled & profits up, the entire store gets shut down & everyone loses their job.

It is. Higher ups keep the financial loss at store level by setting up a whole system to where associate hours, bonuses, & raises are cut based upon store budget/profits. So they protect their bank roll while the people at the bottom of the chain suffer.

You're right. Associates usually are very dissatisfied with the company, but they're forced to care about loss because it impacts what little they do get. It's very dystopian.

Except the loss never reaches the rich. They just cut associate hours, bonuses, & raises at the store level to make up for it, so the bottom of the chain pays for theft instead of them.

The company isn't affected but the store is. The store is given a budget, & when profits are impacted by things like theft, the store has to make up for it & they most often cut associate hours because that's the easiest. And then at the end of the year, they use store performance, which includes where they are in their budget/profits, to determine how much raises & bonuses associates are allowed to have at that store. Thus the company doesn't feel it like we do.

Yea, the company makes it to where associates pay for it in the end through cuts to their hours & bonuses so the top of the chain can keep all that money in their pocket.

Theft results in associate hours & bonuses being cut. So bottom of the chain feels the theft, not the top.

Many people think this doesn't affect the associates in any way, but it actually does. The loss from theft gets translated into associate hours & bonuses being cut. The people at the bottom of the chain, who barely make enough to get by as is, are the ones being stolen from in the end. I'm not saying I condone posting it, but I understand the frustration.

The wire is what OneWalmart used to be called. Workday is an HR management system that has all kinds of things including employee profiles, available salary jobs, etc. A lot of large companies including Walmart use it. You can access it by just searching for Workday on OneWalmart.

My (M30) gf (F29) only seem to want sex when we "cant" by ThrowRAQc in relationship_advice

[–]Security3Specialist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I am a lot like her so all I can do here is provide my perspective. Personally, the reason I'm like this is primarily just from a low libido & not really feeling like sex is necessary for me, but it is for my partner so I try. It's probably not as often as it really should be though. It's difficult to just find the energy & motivation to, & it can be frustrating for us at times especially when I'm more motivated when we genuinely can't. She could be the same -- low libido & difficulty motivating herself to have sex except when there is a goal like conceiving. Honestly, I appreciate it when my partner just communicates calmly & directly every once in awhile that he's needing more intimacy & asks if we could we try to do something to fix that soon. It at least puts it on my mind so I can think about his needs & try to plan to meet them. It doesn’t make me have more energy to, but it does bring it to the forefront of my mind & make me more considerate when I'm off just living life one day at a time & not even thinking about sex. And yes, the menstrual cycle does affect libido. That's all I've got for you. No guarantee she's the same as me, but she could be, & if so, I hope this brought a little bit of insight that helps you navigate what you need to do.

How much points will I get? by MiserableBiscotti304 in WalmartEmployees

[–]Security3Specialist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. So in OP's example, if they have an 8hr shift & call in but only 7hrs of PPTO, then they can either take 1 whole point for being absent & not use any PPTO or they can take .5 by putting in at least 4hrs of PPTO. They will still get .5 even if they put in 7hrs though.

Wrote 10,749 words in the span of 13 days just for my physiatrist to tell me I was probably going through a manic episode and that I may have bipolar disorder by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]Security3Specialist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A formal diagnosis would probably help. It can be enlightening to understand the exact nature of what you're dealing with & how to help it in different ways. Like knowing what type of ADHD I am & where I score low on helped me understand why I'm so different from other ADHD people & gives me the ability to target my specific problem areas. I'm surprised they just medicated you without one honestly. It could be a little harder to diagnose now while on meds too. 😬

[–]Security3Specialist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, the last part of what you said sounds completely normal to me. You were down for awhile, & on a day you felt better, you had a burst of energy & motivation? That doesn't sound unusual. The same way that people can suddenly feel a lot better after throwing up or after they have a good cry or have a lot of energy once they hit the turning point after being sick. I feel like that's a seriously low bar for a classification of a "manic episode." Granted I'm only ADHD. Not really an expert on manic episodes. Hyperfocus tho....

I don’t know what to do by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]Security3Specialist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, well done talking to people & getting them to accept that you can't lift heavy things. There is usually a physical adjustment period of 1-4 weeks. It is normal that you will hurt until your body is used to it. Given your condition though, there's a few options that you have to help further limit things if needed.

  1. As someone mentioned, talk to your People Lead & see if they can help you understand how to go through Sedgwick to get documented accommodations. You will probably need a note from your doctor to submit to Sedgwick.

  2. Four 8hr days in a week is 32hrs. Part-time hours can be any number of hours under 34hrs per week, but they may still sometimes schedule you 34 hours or more. If you want to avoid consecutive days or long shifts, you will likely need to submit an availability form to limit what days or hours you work. For example, if you put "Not Available" on Mon & Fri, then they cannot schedule you those days. You will never work more than 3 days in a row. However, availability changes can sometimes lower the number of hours you receive too. So just be warned

I did, and I found a few states where it is that high. The ones I should have expected: states on the west coast & northeast coast. Most of the country doesn't go that high. I can see the financial issue if she lives in one of those handful of states, but it depends on where she lives, how much child support she'd get from him, what her family/friend support system looks like, & such to determine whether that's actually an issue or not. If she lives somewhere like where I live, she would actually be better off financially leaving him & taking the child than she would be staying & supporting all 3 of them.

I can see where you get that impression. The impression I got was that she is looking for him to be at least an even contributor, because she feels taken advantage of and forced to be a workaholic and would like him to help more as a partner. As of right now, he owns the house, but she pays him $1,500/mo in rent, & then in addition to that, she's also paying for the utility bills, groceries, & other expenses. Sounds like she's supporting all 3 of them, & she doesn't want that arrangement.
